This invention aims to provide a simple device for suspending a garment, such as a skirt or a pair of breeches, novel means being provided for admitting the cuffs of a pair of breeches, or the 5 top hem of a skirt, and novel means being supplied for manipulating the device.

The skirt and breaches hanger forming the subject matter of this application preferably is made out of wire or similar material, in a single piece, and having some resiliency, It includes a U-shaped clamp I, comprising cooperating jaws conand 15 2, merging at one end into the lower members 3 of a broadened, upstanding stifiening eye 4, including upper members 5, which are prolonged to form the spaced side pieces 6 of a broadened, stiffening hand grip l, the grip overhanging the clamp, the side pieces 6. being joined together by twisting or otherwise, as at 8, adjacent to the eye 4, the inner ends of the side pieces 6 being joined together, by twisting or otherwise, as shown at 9, and one of the side pieces 6 being 5 provided with a suspension element 10, such as an upwardly projecting hook.

The device is simple in construction, but will be found thoroughly advantageous for the ends in View, capable of being manufactured at small cost and effective to keep the creases in a garment and to avoid wrinkles.
A mechanic who abides by what is claimed, may make changes in the precise structure without departing in corresponding measure from the spirit of: the invention.
What is claimed is: v
1. A skirt and breaches hanger made from a single piece of stock, and including a U-shaped clamp comprising cooperating jaws merging at one end into the lower members of a broadened, upstanding eye, including upper members, which are prolonged to form the spaced side pieces of a hand grip overhanging the clamp, the side pieces being joined together adjacent to the eye, the inner ends of the side pieces being joined together, and one of the side pieces being sup plied with a suspension element.
2. Theskirt and breeches hanger of claim 1, further characterized the fact that the jaws diverge, where they merge into the lower members of the eye, to denne an entering throat,
