It is thus apparent that there has been provided a device adapted to be used in combination with a stove which increases the heating eiiiciency of the unit both by maintaining the heated gases and air a longer time Within the unit and by providing additional heat radiating surfaces.
It is to be understood that the foregoing description and accompanying drawing have been given by way of illustration and example and not for purposes of limitation, the invention being limited only by the following claims.
What is claimed is: Y
l. A stove comprising an upper section and a dome, said upper section including a top plate having an opening therethrough, said dome including an exterior wall having an aperture therein and an interior Wall defining the opening in the plate and having an opening therein, said plate having an additional opening adjacent the opening in the exterior Wall, and a plate damper operatively associated with said last-named opening and adapted to be selectively opened or closed, said construction permitting heated gases and air to pass directly to the ue through the second plate opening and the exterior Wall opening when the damper is open, and said construction forcing the said heated gases and air to travel successively through the first enumerated plate opening, the interior Wall opening and the exterior Wall opening when the damper is closed.

A stove comprising an upper section and a dome, a horizontal partition plate disposed between the upper section and the dome substantially coextensive With the same, a centrally disposed opem'ng in the plate, said dome including a single circular channel, the inner Wall of which substantially defines the said opening and the outer wall of which comprises the exterior vertical Wall of the dome, an'opening in the inner wall and a ue opening in the outer Wall, said latter two openings being spaced at 180 degrees, and a flap damper pivotally connected to said plate adjacent said outer Wall opening and between said walls to provide an optional full direct draft.
