Abstract

The present invention relates to an excreta dehydration type toilet including: an upper main body (10) in which at least one toilet bowl (11) is installed; a lower main body (20) installed on a lower portion of the upper main body (10) and configured to store excreta therein; and a ventilation pipe (30) vertically installed along a lateral side of the upper main body (10), wherein the lower main body (20) includes: a warm-air pipe (21) installed on an inner bottom of the lower main body (20); a blower fan (22) installed at a side of the air inlet (21A); an electric heater (23) installed between the air inlet (21A) and the blower fan (22); and a daylighting member (24). Thus, according to the present invention, moisture included in excreta can be rapidly dried while removing odors from the toilet, thereby improving convenience when the toilet is used.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to an outdoor excreta dehydration type toilet.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • In general, outdoor toilets (hereinafter collectively referred to as “toilets”) such as portable toilets or mobile toilets are provided with an excreta storage space under a toilet bowl, and excreta collected in the excreta storage space is periodically removed by a honey wagon for the purpose of cleaning. That is, such a toilet is generally left with stored excreta for a considerable period of time and thus stinks a lot, thereby making people avoid such an outdoor toilet.
  • If excreta stored in a toilet are dried, a bad smell may not be constantly produced, and the excreta-storage capacity of the toilet may be increased. Thus, excreta dehydration (extinction) type toilets have been actively developed, and examples thereof include Korean Registered Utility Model No. 0411061, titled “excreta treatment apparatus.”
  • As shown in FIG. 1, the excreta treatment apparatus disclosed in the patent document includes: a housing 100 accommodating at least one toilet bowl; an excreta tank 110 for accommodating and treating excreta including feces and urine discharged from the toilet bowl; a first inclined plate 120 having a plurality of penetration holes and installed at an inclined angle relative to the bottom of the excreta tank 110 to divide the inside of the excreta tank 110 into first and second treatment chambers; a moisture-absorption medium containing microorganisms for decomposing excreta and supplied to the first treatment chamber for mixing with excreta; a heating unit placed on the bottom of the excreta tank 110; and a ventilator 130 communicating with the inside of the excreta tank 110 for ventilating the inside of the excreta tank 110.
  • However, in the excreta treatment apparatus having the above-described structure, since excreta introduced into the penetration holes of the first inclined plate 120 are dried and fixed to the penetration holes of the first inclined plate 120, the penetration holes are easily clogged, and thus air heated by the heating unit is not effectively supplied to excreta through the penetration holes. In addition, since a large amount of water is used to clean the clogged penetration holes, a large amount of dirty water is produced during the cleaning process, and while air heated by the heating unit rises through the penetration holes, the odor of excreta may be introduced into the housing 100 to cause disgust.
  • Therefore, it is required to develop an excreta dehydration type toilet capable of properly treating excreta while rapidly drying the excreta and minimizing the generation of odor.
  • DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS Technical Problem
  • Thus, the present invention is proposed to solve the problems with excreta dehydration (extinction) type toilets of the related art by providing an excreta dehydration type toilet capable of properly treating excreta while rapidly drying the excreta and minimizing the generation of odor.
  • Solution to Problem
  • To achieve an objective of the prevent invention, there is provided an excreta dehydration type toilet including: an upper main body in which at least one toilet bowl is installed; a lower main body installed on a lower portion of the upper main body and configured to store excreta therein; and a ventilation pipe vertically installed along a lateral side of the upper main body and having a lower end communicating with the lower main body, wherein the lower main body includes: a warm-air pipe installed on an inner bottom of the lower main body and having an air inlet and an air outlet; a blower fan installed at a side of the air inlet to supply warm air to an inside of the warm-air pipe; an electric heater installed between the air inlet and the blower fan; and a daylighting member installed on an upper surface of the lower main body and transmitting sunlight into the lower main body.
  • In addition, according to the present invention, the warm-air pipe is installed along a periphery of the inner bottom of the lower main body and is then inserted into the ventilation pipe by a predetermined length to place the air outlet in the ventilation pipe.
  • In addition, according to the present invention, a vertical communicating pipe is installed on a lower portion of the toilet bowl and inserted in the lower main body, a plurality of holes are radially formed in the communicating pipe, and the communicating pipe has a horn shape with a diameter gradually increasing in an up-to-down direction.
  • In addition, according to the present invention, each of the plurality of holes is formed through the communicating pipe with a downward slope from an inner side toward an outer side of the communicating pipe.
  • In addition, according to the present invention, a horn-shaped scattering member is installed on the inner bottom of the lower main body in alignment with an installed position of the communicating pipe, and a predetermined gap is formed between a lower end of the communicating pipe and an upper end of the scattering member.
  • Advantageous Effects of Disclosure
  • According to the present invention, moisture included in excreta stored in the lower main body is rapidly dried using a warm-air wind, and odor is also discharged from the insides of the upper and lower main bodies by using an ascending air stream generated in the lower main body by the warm-air wind, thereby improving convenience when the excreta dehydration type toilet is used.
  • In addition, according to the present invention, since inner air of the upper main body is introduced into the lower main body and is discharged to the outside through the ventilation pipe by using a stream of air discharged through the ventilation pipe, odor is not easily introduced from the lower main body into the upper main body, and since the communicating pipe has a horn shape with a diameter gradually increasing in an up-to-down direction, excreta falling to the lower main body through the communicating pipe does not touch the communicating pipe such that the communicating pipe may be maintained clean for a long period of time.
  • In addition, according to the present invention, since the scattering member is installed with a predetermined gap between the lower end of the communicating pipe and the upper end of the scattering member, water and excreta falling into the lower main body may be widely scattered along an inclined surface of the scattering member, and thus the excreta may be evenly piled up.

  • MODE OF DISCLOSURE
  • Hereinafter, the configuration and operation of the present invention will be described in more detail according to preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • The present invention provides an excreta dehydration type toilet capable of properly treating excreta while rapidly drying the excreta and minimizing the generation of odor, and to this end, the excreta dehydration type toilet includes an upper main body 10, a lower main body 20, and a ventilation pipe 30 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
  • The upper main body 10 is a box-shaped housing, and as shown in FIG. 2, a door (not denoted with a reference numeral) is installed on a side of the upper main body 10, and a toilet bowl 11 is installed on the inner bottom of the upper main body 10 such that excreta can be discharged to the lower main body 20 (described later) from the toilet bowl 11.
  • In this case, depending on the size of the excreta dehydration type toilet, the inner space of the upper main body 10 may be divided into sub-spaces to accommodate two or three people at the same time, and toilet bowls 11 may be respectively installed in the sub-spaces. Alternatively, a plurality of upper main bodies 10 each having a size suitable for one person may be connected to each other as needed.
  • In addition, a communicating pipe 12, configured to block air such that air may not be easily introduced from the inside of the lower main body 20 into the upper main body 10, is vertically installed on a lower portion of the toilet bowl 11. In this case, the communicating pipe 12 has a horn shape with a diameter gradually increasing in an up-to-down direction as shown in FIG. 3, and a plurality of holes 12A are radially formed in the outer surface of the communicating pipe 12 along the circumference of the communicating pipe 12.
  • Since the communicating pipe 12 has a horn shape as described above, excreta falling from the toilet bowl 11 to the inside of the lower main body 20 may not easily touch the inner surface of the communicating pipe 12, and thus the communicating pipe 12 may not be easily contaminated with the excreta and may thus be maintained clean.
  • In addition, since the holes 12A are formed through the communicating pipe 12 with a downward slope from the inside toward the outside of the communicating pipe 12 as shown in FIG. 3, air introduced from the upper main body 10 into the inside of the lower main body 20 through the holes 12A of the communicating pipe 12 may be smoothly drawn to the inside of the ventilation pipe 30 and then discharged to the outside of the ventilation pipe 30 by a stream generated in the lower main body 20 by air heated and discharged upward in the lower main body 20.
  • The lower main body 20 for storing excreta therein is installed on a lower surface of the upper main body 10, and thus excreta introduced from the toilet bowl 11 installed on the upper main body 10 into the lower main body 20 may be stored for a certain period of time and may then be periodically collected by a honey wagon for purification treatment, use as manure, etc.
  • As shown in FIG. 4, a proper accommodation space is formed in the lower main body 20 to store excreta, a warm-air pipe 21 having an air inlet 21A and an air outlet 21B is installed on the bottom of the accommodation space, the air inlet 21A of the warm-air pipe 21 is provided at an outer side of the lower main body 20, a blower fan 22 for supplying warm air to the inside of the warm-air pipe 21 is installed at the air inlet 21A of the warm-air pipe 21, and an electric heater 23 is installed between the air inlet 21A and the blower fan 22 to heat air.
  • In addition, the warm-air pipe 21 may be installed along the periphery of the accommodation space in a state in which an end portion of the warm-air pipe 21 protrudes outward from the lower main body 20 to direct the air inlet 21A toward the blower fan 22 and the electric heater 23, and the other end portion of the warm-air pipe 21 is vertically installed and inserted in a lower portion of the ventilation pipe 30 (described later) by a certain length to place the air outlet 21B in the ventilation pipe 30.
  • In addition, the lower main body 20 protrudes backward (a side opposite the door) more than the upper main body 10, and a daylighting member 24 formed of a transparent reinforced plastic or glass material is installed on a side of the lower main body 20 such that sunlight may pass through the daylighting member 24 into the lower main body 20. The daylighting member 24 may be configured to be opened like the door, and thus when a user intends to remove excreta stored in the lower main body 20, the user may open the daylighting member 24 and remove the excreta. Thus, daylighting and excreta removal may be possible by installing only the daylighting member 24 having an openable structure without having to separately preparing a daylighting window and an excreta removing port.
  • In addition, a scattering member 25 having a horn shape is installed on the inner bottom of the lower main body 20 in alignment with the communicating pipe 12 provided on the lower portion of the toilet bowl 11, and in this case, a lower end of the communicating pipe 12 may be spaced apart from an upper end of the scattering member 25 by a predetermined distance. Thus, owing to the scattering member 25, water and excreta falling along the communicating pipe 12 to the inside of the lower main body 20 may be widely scattered along an inclined surface of the scattering member 25, and thus the excreta may be evenly piled up.
  • Furthermore, stairs 26 are provided on a side of the lower main body 20 such that a user may enter the excreta dehydration type toilet through the stairs 26 and the door of the upper main body 10, and the blower fan 22 and the electric heater 23 are accommodated inside the stairs 26 with a controller (not shown) for controlling the blower fan 22 and the electric heater 23 being installed on a side of the upper main body 10 or the stairs 26.
  • In addition, the ventilation pipe 30 is vertically installed on an inner or outer side of the upper main body 10 such that odors or the like may be rapidly discharged to the outside through the ventilation pipe 30 when excreta dries in the lower main body 20.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, the ventilation pipe 30 includes: a vertical pipe 31 having a vertical length with a lower end inserted in the lower main body 20 and an upper end protruding upward from the upper main body 10; an extension pipe 32 provided on the lower end of the vertical pipe 31 and having a horn shape with a lower diameter greater than an upper diameter; and a ventilation cowl 33 provided on the upper end of the vertical pipe 31 and configured to be rotated by external winds such that inner air of the lower main body 20 can be discharged to the outside through the extension pipe 32 and the vertical pipe 31.
  • In the above-described structure of the ventilation pipe 30, since air heated by the electric heater 23 is rapidly discharged through the warm-air pipe 21 when inner air of the lower main body 20 is easily introduced into the vertical pipe 31 through the extension pipe 32 and is discharged to the outside, the inner air of the lower main body 20 may also be rapidly discharged to the outside owing to a rapid stream of the heated air. As a result, the inner air of the lower main body 20 may not easily flow back toward the upper main body 10 because a rapid air stream is maintained in the extension pipe 32 and the vertical pipe 31.
  • When the excreta dehydration type toilet having the above-described structure according to the present invention is used, as shown in FIG. 6, a user may manipulate the controller, or the blower fan 22 and the electric heater 23 may be set to be periodically operated by a timer. Thus, while the blower fan 22 and the electric heater 23 are periodically turned on and off, air may be heated by the electric heater 23 and supplied to the warm-air pipe 21 by the blower fan 22 to entirely heat the warm-air pipe 21.
  • In addition to heating the warm-air pipe 21 as described above, sunlight reaches the inside of the lower main body 20 through the daylighting member 24, and thus the temperature of the entire inside of the lower main body 20 may rapidly increase such that excreta piled up in the lower main body 20 may rapidly dry.
  • In addition, air heated and introduced into the warm-air pipe 21 is rapidly introduced into the ventilation pipe 30 through the air outlet 21B and rapidly discharged to an upper side of the ventilation pipe 30, and thus inner air of the lower main body 20 having odors generated while excreta is dried or decomposed by the propagation of microorganisms may also be rapidly introduced into the vertical pipe 31 through the extension pipe 32 of the ventilation pipe 30 and discharged to the outside.
  • Therefore, when heated air is discharged through the warm-air pipe 21, inner air of the lower main body 20 always flows only toward the ventilation pipe 30 and is then discharged to the outside.
  • In addition, the toilet bowl 11 may be generally of a bubble-washing type when used in a mobile toilet, and in this case, inner air of the lower main body 20 may be introduced into the upper main body 10 through the toilet bowl 11 together with odors. According to the present invention, however, the communicating pipe 12 is vertically installed on the lower portion of the toilet bowl 11 at a predetermined distance from the bottom of the lower main body 20, and the holes 12A are formed in the outer surface of the communicating pipe 12 such that inner air of the upper main body 10 may be introduced into the lower main body 20 through the toilet bowl 11 along the communicating pipe 12 owing to an air stream which is formed in the lower main body 20 when inner air of the lower main body 20 is discharged to the outside through the ventilation pipe 30. As a result, air may flow only in the direction of upper main body 10->lower main body 20->ventilation pipe 30, and when a user uses the excreta dehydration type toilet, inner air of the lower main body 20 may not flow back to the upper main body 10, thereby lowering user inconvenience caused by odors.
  • As described above, according to the present invention, moisture included in excreta stored in the lower main body is rapidly dried using a warm-air wind, and odor is also discharged from the insides of the upper and lower main bodies owing to an air stream generated in the lower main body by the warm-air wind, thereby improving convenience when the excreta dehydration type toilet is used.

Claims (5)

1. An excreta dehydration type toilet comprising:
an upper main body (10) in which at least one toilet bowl (11) is installed;
a lower main body (20) installed on a lower portion of the upper main body (10) and configured to store excreta therein; and
a ventilation pipe (30) vertically installed along a lateral side of the upper main body (10) and having a lower end communicating with the lower main body (20),
wherein the lower main body (20) comprises:
a warm-air pipe (21) installed on an inner bottom of the lower main body (20) and having an air inlet (21B) and an air outlet (21B);
a blower fan (22) installed at a side of the air inlet (21A) to supply warm air to an inside of the warm-air pipe (21);
an electric heater (23) installed between the air inlet (21A) and the blower fan (22); and
a daylighting member (24) installed on an upper surface of the lower main body (20) and transmitting sunlight into the lower main body (20).
2. The excreta dehydration type toilet of claim 1, wherein the warm-air pipe (21) is installed along a periphery of the inner bottom of the lower main body (20) and is then inserted into the ventilation pipe (30) by a predetermined length to place the air outlet (21B) in the ventilation pipe (30).
3. The excreta dehydration type toilet of claim 1, wherein a vertical communicating pipe (12) is installed on a lower portion of the toilet bowl (11) and inserted in the lower main body (20),
a plurality of holes (12A) are radially formed in the communicating pipe (12), and
the communicating pipe (12) has a diameter which gradually increases in an up-to-down direction.
4. The excreta dehydration type toilet of claim 3, wherein each of the plurality of holes (12A) is formed through the communicating pipe (12) with a downward slope from an inner side toward an outer side of the communicating pipe (12).
5. The excreta dehydration type toilet of claim 3, wherein a horn-shaped scattering member (25) is installed on the inner bottom of the lower main body (20) in alignment with an installed position of the communicating pipe (12), and
a lower end of the communicating pipe (12) and an upper end of the scattering member (25) are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance.
