Abstract
Description
- This application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119 to U.S. Provisional Application No. 62/589,790, filed on Nov. 22, 2017, the contents of which are incorporated by reference in their entirety.
- A rolling tray permits a user to assemble smokeable items, such as cigarettes, cigars, and/or the like. For example, the user may place rolling paper on the rolling tray, add a smokeable ingredient to the rolling paper, and then manipulate the rolling paper to assemble the smokeable ingredient.
- According to an aspect of the disclosure, a rolling tray for assembling a smokeable item includes a tray portion that is configured to permit assembly of the smokeable item; and a lid that is configured to sealingly engage with the tray portion to seal the tray portion of the rolling tray.

FIG. 4 is a set of diagrams of various views of an example rolling tray as described herein. - Some implementations described herein provide a rolling tray for rolling smokeable items. The rolling tray may include a tray portion, a set of container compartments, and a lid portion. The lid portion is configured to sealingly engage with the tray portion to prevent the spilling of smokeable ingredients associated with smokeable items, and seal in an aroma associated with the smokeable ingredients.
- In this way, some implementations herein provide an improved rolling tray that includes compartments into which smokeable ingredients and/or other items may be stored, and that includes a sealable lid that confines and/or mitigates the aroma associated with smokeable ingredients.
- As shown in
FIG. 1 , arolling tray 100 may include asealable lid 101, and atray portion 102. The rollingtray 100 may be configured to permit assembly of a smokeable item. For example, a user may utilize the rollingtray 100 to assemble a smokeable item, such as a cigar, cigarette, and/or the like. - The
tray portion 102 may include a component of the rollingtray 100 that is configured to permit the assembly of smokeable items, and/or that is configured to permit the storage of smokeable items, assembled smokeable items, and/or other items. Thetray portion 102 may be comprised of any suitable material, such as a plastic, aluminum, titanium, steel, graphite, and/or the like. Further, thetray portion 102 may include any suitable shape, such as a rectangular shape, a square shape, an oval shape, a circular shape, a geometric shape, and/or the like. Further still, thetray portion 102 may include any suitable dimensions to permit the assembly of smokeable items. - The
sealable lid 101 may include a component that is configured to sealably attach to thetray portion 102. For example, thesealable lid 101 may be separably attached to thetray portion 102, and may seal thetray portion 102 based on being attached to thetray portion 102. Thesealable lid 101 may be comprised of any suitable material that permits thesealable lid 101 to sealingly engage with thetray portion 102. In some implementations, thesealable lid 101 may be comprised of a same material as thetray portion 102. Alternatively, thesealable lid 101 may be comprised of a different material than as compared to thetray portion 102. Thesealable lid 101 may include any suitable dimensions to permit thesealable lid 101 to sealingly engage with thetray portion 102. - Although
FIG. 1 depicts a singlesealable lid 101, other embodiments include additionalsealable lids 101. For example, therolling tray 100 may include twosealable lids 101, threesealable lids 101, etc. In some implementations, differentsealable lids 101 of therolling tray 100 may include substantially similar dimensions. For example, a firstsealable lid 101 may cover substantially a first half of thetray portion 102, and a secondsealable lid 101 may cover substantially a second half of thetray portion 102. Alternatively, differentsealable lids 101 may cover different amounts of thetray portion 102, respectively (e.g., 90/10, 80/20, 70/30, and/or the like). Additionally, differentsealable lids 101 may be configured to sealingly cover different compartments of therolling tray 100. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , thetray portion 102 may include a recessed portion. In other words, a bottom surface of thetray portion 102 may include a recess. Alternatively, thetray portion 102 may include a planar bottom surface that does not form a recess. It should be understood that myriad types of bottom surfaces are applicable to embodiments herein. - The
tray portion 102 may include a component, disposed on a bottom surface of thetray portion 102, that permits a lighter to be removably attached to thetray portion 102. For example, thetray portion 102 may include a set of substantially L-shaped portions that extend from a bottom surface of thetray portion 102, and that collectively permit a lighter to be attached to thetray portion 102. - As shown in
FIGS. 3 and 4 , thetray portion 102 may include a set of compartments. For example, as shown inFIG. 3 , thetray portion 102 may include afirst side compartment 103, amain compartment 104, and asecond side compartment 105. - In some implementations, the
tray portion 102 may include any number of compartments. Additionally, different compartments of thetray portion 102 may include different dimensions and/or different shapes. For example, thefirst side compartment 103, themain compartment 104, and/or thesecond side compartment 105 may include rectangular compartments, square compartments, circular compartments, oval compartments, and/or the like. - In some implementations, the compartments of the
tray portion 102 may be configured to hold and/or store various items, such as smokeable ingredients, rolling paper, assembled smokeable items, vaporizer devices, cartridges for vaporizer devices, ash, edible items, and/or the like. - As shown in
FIG. 3 , thetray portion 102 may include a top surface, a bottom surface, and a set of side surfaces. The top surface may form a peripheral edge that extends from the side surfaces. In other words, the top surface may be larger than the bottom surface in some implementations. Alternatively, the top surface and the bottom surface may include substantially similar areas. In this case, the side surfaces may extend vertically from the top surface to the bottom surface, and thetray portion 102 might not include a substantial peripheral edge surface. - The
sealable lid 101 may connect to the top surface of thetray portion 102. In some implementations, thesealable lid 101 may connect to thetray portion 102 via a press-fit, an interference fit, a friction fit, and/or the like. Additionally, or alternatively, thesealable lid 101 may connect to thetray portion 102 via a connection mechanism. For example, thesealable lid 101 may connect to thetray portion 102 via a set of protrusions, a set of clamps, a set of buttons, and/or the like. - In some implementations, and as shown in
FIGS. 3 and 4 , thesealable lid 101 is completely separable from thetray portion 102. Alternatively, thesealable lid 101 may be semi-affixed to thetray portion 102, and configured to be displaceable with respect to thetray portion 102. For example, thesealable lid 101 may be connected to thetray portion 102 via a set of hinges, via a sliding mechanism, via a telescoping mechanism, and/or the like. - In some implementations, the
sealable lid 101 may include a component to permit thesealable lid 101 to seal thetray portion 102. For example, thesealable lid 101 may include a silicone liner to permit thesealable lid 101 to sealingly engage thetray portion 102. In other implementations, thesealable lid 101 may include a tolerance such that thesealable lid 101 forms an effective seal when attached to thetray portion 102. - In some implementations, the
sealable lid 101 is configured to sealingly engage with thetray portion 102 to substantially prevent the dispersion of aroma associated with smokeable ingredients. In other words, thesealable lid 101 might prevent a substantial aroma of the smokeable ingredients from dispersing in a vicinity of therolling tray 100. In this way, some implementations herein permit discrete storage of smokeable ingredients and/or assembled smokeable items. - The foregoing disclosure provides illustration and description, but is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the implementations to the precise form disclosed. Modifications and variations are possible in light of the above disclosure or may be acquired from practice of the implementations.

Also, as used herein, the articles “a” and “an” are intended to include one or more items, and may be used interchangeably with “one or more.” Furthermore, as used herein, the term “set” is intended to include one or more items (e.g., related items, unrelated items, a combination of related and unrelated items, etc.), and may be used interchangeably with “one or more.” Where only one item is intended, the term “one” or similar language is used. Also, as used herein, the terms “has,” “have,” “having,” or the like are intended to be open-ended terms. Further, the phrase “based on” is intended to mean “based, at least in part, on” unless explicitly stated otherwise.
