Abstract
A firearm bolt emulation mechanism includes a bolt body. The bolt body includes a hand grip movably mounted thereon and having a function of reciprocal movement. The hand grip has an end coupled to a gas tube over which an elastic element is fit. The gas tube is coupled to a striker that is received in the bolt body. A knocker is received in the bolt body and is set on a reciprocal movement path of the striker. As such, for percussion, the hand grip is moved rearward to emulate a chambering operation and at the same time, the hand grip drives the gas tube and the gas tube drives the striker to move simultaneously. When the hand grip returns to the original position, the striker powerfully strikes the knocker so as to generate loud and clear sounding similar to the chambering sound of an actual firearm.
Description
- The present invention generally relates to firearm bolts, and more particularly to a firearm bolt emulation mechanism that generates a highly emulating chambering sound to effectively enhance the pleasure of a player.
- In the 16th century, artillery was reduced in size and matchlocks were invented as the beginning of the light firearms. Since then, firearms gradually become extremely offensive weapons with the combination of innovation of mechanical engineering and novel types of gunpowder. The development of industrial techniques also helped advance the progress of firearms, making them widely used in military and police applications, hunting, and sports.
- Firearms are restrained and controlled in many countries and firearm fancies are only allowed to purchase toy gun or model guns for collection and possession. A variety of emulation firearm bolts that does not possess antipersonnel force are available in the market and some are referred to as toy gun bolts or BB guns.
- The toy gun bolts that are currently available in the market have made a great progress in respect of the materials and the manufacturing techniques thereof, making the outside appearance of the toy gun bolt highly closely emulating an actual firearm. However, the internal structure of the toy gun bolt is generally not made emulating an actual bolt. For example, the operation of the toy gun bolt does not provide a power vibration and chambering sound that an actual gun may generate, making the operation of the toy gun bolt very monotonous and boring. Toy gun bolts that generate recoil forces are also available in the market. Although a recoil force is generated in pretty much the same way as an actual firearm, the sound generated when chambering is made is still poor. Electronic sound generation has also been available for such a purposes, but there is a significant difference from the chambering sound of an actual firearm.
- The primary object of the present invention is that through connection made with a gas tube, when a hand grip is pulled and moved, the gas tube drives a striker to move so as to realize a structure for emulation of an actual bolt in a limited space.
- Another object of the present invention is that striking and contacting between a striker and a knocker may generate sounding that is very close to actual chambering sounds so as to achieve an advantage of high degree of emulation thereby enhancing the pleasure of a user in the use of the device.
- To achieve the above objects, the present invention structurally comprises a bolt body, a gas tube received in the bolt body and coupled a the hand grip, a striker received in the bolt body and coupled to an end of the gas tube, a knocker received in the bolt body and set on a moving path of the striker, and an abutting member fixedly mounted to one side of the striker to enhance tight engagement thereof with the knocker. The gas tube comprises an elastic element fit thereon for reciprocal movement of the hand grip. Further, the striker has one side forming a wavy section and the knocker has a side corresponding to the wavy section and forming a contact section. As such, for percussion, the hand grip is first pulled rearward for chambering and at the same time, the hand grip drives the gas tube to have the gas tube drive the striker. Further, the hand grip is returnable by means of a force applied by the elastic element in an opposite direction. During the process of position returning, the striker powerfully strikes the knocker, making the wavy section and the contact section rub each other so that they generate loud and clear sounding in an intermittent manner, achieving the sound of chambering of an actual firearm and thus improving the pleasure of a player.
- The technique described above can overcome the problems of the conventional toy gun bolt that generates no chambering sound as an actual firearm and is thus monotonous and boring and lacks of the true sense of reality, thereby achieving a practical improvement of the present invention.

- Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
- Referring to
FIGS. 1 , 2, and 3, the present invention comprises: - a
bolt body 1, which comprises a movably arrangedhand grip 11, thehand grip 11 having an end to which anelastic element 12, which can be a spring, is mounted for reciprocal movement of thehand grip 11 and an opposite end fixedly coupled to aconnection member 13, theconnection member 13 having an end fixedly coupled to astriker 14 to be described hereinafter; - a striker 14 (which is a solid metal piece), which is received in the
bolt body 1 and coupled to theconnection member 13 of thehand grip 1, thestriker 14 having a side forming awavy section 141; - a knocker 15 (which is a solid metal piece), which is received in the
bolt body 1 at a location adjacent to a front end of a barrel and is set on a moving path of thestriker 14, theknocker 15 having a side corresponding to thewavy section 141 and forming acontact section 151; and - an
abutting member 16, which is fixedly mounted to one side of thestriker 14 to enhance tight engagement thereof with theknocker 15, the abuttingmember 16 being arranged to be distant from thewavy section 141. - Referring go
FIGS. 2 to 5 , when a chambering operation is carried out, a loud and clear sound is generated, similar to the chambering sound of an actual firearm. Firstly, a user holds thebolt body 1 with a hand and pulls thehand grip 11 rearward, whereby at the same time, theelastic element 12 is compressed by thehand grip 11 and undergoes deformation. Further, thehand grip 11 drives, via the coupling of theconnection member 13, thestriker 14 to move so as to cause thestriker 14 to displace with respect to and rub against theknocker 15 thereby generating intermittent sounding due to the configurations or shapes of thewavy section 141 and thecontact section 151, until thehand grip 11 reaches a predetermined position. Further, theelastic element 12 that is compressed selectively initiate position returning and applying a push force to thehand grip 11 for movement in a direction toward the front end of the barrel, whereby thehand grip 11, when released by the user, is driven by theelastic element 12 to make thestriker 14 powerful strike theknocker 15. Thus, similarly, through the cooperative operation between thewavy section 141 and thecontact section 151, loud and clear sounding may be generated in an intermittent manner. Further, thestriker 14 and theknocker 15 are solid metal pieces and thus, the striking sound generated thereby is close to the chambering sound of an actual firearm. Further, to improve the tight contact force between thestriker 14 and theknocker 15, theabutting member 16 is provided to bias and cause thestriker 14 to abut against theknocker 15, preventing any separation occurring therebetween. - Referring to
FIGS. 6 , 7, and 8, in another embodiment, the present invention comprises: - a
bolt body 1 a, which comprises a movably arrangedhand grip 11 a, thehand grip 11 a having an end to which anelastic element 12 a is mounted for reciprocal movement of thehand grip 11 a; - a
striker 14 a, which is received in thebolt body 1 a and coupled to thehand grip 11 a, thestriker 14 a having a side forming awavy section 141 a; - a
knocker 15 a, which is received in thebolt body 1 a and is set on a moving path of thestriker 14 a, theknocker 15 a having a side corresponding to thewavy section 141 a and forming acontact section 151 a; and - an
abutting member 16 a, which is fixedly mounted to one side of theknocker 15 a to enhance tight engagement thereof with thestriker 14 a, theabutting member 16 a being arranged to be distant from thecontact section 151 a. - Referring to
FIGS. 7-10 , when a user pulls and moves thehand grip 11 a, thewavy section 141 a of thestriker 14 a and thecontact section 151 a of theknocker 15 a rub each other and generate loud and clear sounding in an intermittent. On the other hand, when they are driven to move in an opposite direction by a returning force of theelastic element 12 a, similar sounding may also be generated. Further, the abuttingmember 16 a is provided to set theknocker 15 a in a more tight engagement with thestriker 14 a to ensure bettered engagement. - Referring to
FIGS. 11 , 12, and 13, in a further embodiment, the present invention comprises: - a
bolt body 1 b, which comprises a movably arrangedhand grip 11 b, thehand grip 11 b having an end to which agas tube 17 b is coupled, thegas tube 17 b receiving anelastic element 12 b to fit thereon in an encompassing manner; - a
striker 14 b, which is received in thebolt body 1 b and coupled to an end of thegas tube 17 b, thestriker 14 b having a side forming awavy section 141 b, thestriker 14 b being connected to an end of theelastic element 12 b that is distant from thehand grip 11 b; and - a
knocker 15 b, which is received in thebolt body 1 b and is set on a moving path of thestriker 14 b, theknocker 15 b having a side corresponding to thewavy section 141 b and forming acontact section 151 b. - Referring to
FIGS. 12-15 , when a user pulls and moves thehand grip 11 b, thehand grip 11 b drives, via the coupling of thegas tube 17 b, thestriker 14 b to move rearward. At this time, due to the biasing of theelastic element 12 b, thestriker 14 b is provided with a capability of position returning. Thus, in position returning, thestriker 14 b and theknocker 15 b engage and rub each other so that thewavy section 141 b and thecontact section 151 b may generate loud and clear sounding in an intermittent manner. The instant embodiment features thegas tube 17 b driving thestriker 14 b to generate reciprocally repeated striking thereby effectively providing a striking structure inside an existingbolt body 1 b without any modification of the outside configuration. - The present invention provides the following advantages:
- (1) Through the connection made with the
gas tube 17 b, when thehand grip 11 b is pulled and moved, thegas tube 17 b drives thestriker 14 b to move so as to realize a structure for emulation of an actual bolt in a limited space. - (2) The striking and contacting between the
striker 14 and theknocker 15 may generate sounding that is very close to actual chambering sounds, achieving an advantage of high degree of emulation thereby enhancing the pleasure of a user in the use of the device. - It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
- While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
Claims (13)
1. A firearm bolt emulation mechanism, comprising:
a bolt body, which comprises a movably arranged hand grip, the hand grip having an end to which an elastic element is mounted for reciprocal movement of the hand grip;
a striker, which is received in the bolt body and coupled to the hand grip;
a knocker, which is received in the bolt body and is set on a moving path of the striker; and
an abutting member, which is fixedly mounted to one side of the striker to enhance tight engagement thereof with the knocker.
2. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the striker has a side forming a wavy section.
3. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 2 , wherein the knocker has a side corresponding to the wavy section and forming a contact section.
4. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 2 , wherein the abutting member is arranged to be distant from the wavy section.
5. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the knocker is arranged at location adjacent to a front end of a barrel of the bolt body.
6. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the elastic element is a spring.
7. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the striker and the knocker are solid metal pieces.
8. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the hand grip has an end opposite to the elastic element and fixedly coupled to a connection member, the connection member having an end fixedly coupled to the striker.
9. A firearm bolt emulation mechanism, comprising:
a bolt body, which comprises a movably arranged hand grip, the hand grip having an end to which an elastic element is mounted for reciprocal movement of the hand grip;
a striker, which is received in the bolt body and coupled to the hand grip;
a knocker, which is received in the bolt body and is set on a moving path of the striker; and
an abutting member, which is fixedly mounted to one side of the knocker to enhance tight engagement thereof with the striker.
10. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 9 , wherein the striker has a side forming a wavy section and the knocker has a side corresponding to the wavy section and forming a contact section.
11. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 10 , wherein the abutting member is arranged to be distant from the contact section.
12. A firearm bolt emulation mechanism, comprising:
a bolt body, which comprises a movably arranged hand grip, the hand grip having an end coupled to a gas tube, the gas tube comprising an elastic element to fit thereon;
a striker, which is received in the bolt body and is connected to an end of the gas tube; and
a knocker, which is received in the bolt body and is set on a moving path of the striker.
13. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 12 , wherein the striker has one side forming a wavy section and the knocker has one side corresponding to the wavy section and forming a contact section.
