Abstract

A firearm chambering sound emulation mechanism, comprising a receiver (1, 1a, 1b) and a hand grip (11, 11a, 11b) movably mounted thereon and having a function of reciprocal movement. Via a coupling member the hand grip (11, 11a, 11b) is coupled to a striker (14,14a, 14b) that is received in the receiver (1, 1a, 1b). A knocker (15, 15a, 15b) in the receiver (1, 1a, 1b) is arranged adjacent the path of reciprocal movement of the striker (14, 14a, 14b). The striker (14,14a, 14b) and knocker (15, 15a, 15b) have corresponding wavy surfaces (141, 151). As the hand grip (11, 11a, 11b) is pulled rearward to emulate a chambering operation or as it moves forward, the striker (14, 14a, 14b) moves simultaneously along the knocker (15, 15a, 15b) against which it is urged by a biasing element (16), thereby generating loud and clear sounds similar to the chambering sound of an actual firearm. This invention helps improve a player's sense of reality.

Description

    (a) Technical Field of the Invention
  • The present invention generally relates to firearm bolts, and more particularly to a firearm bolt emulation mechanism that generates a highly emulating chambering sound to effectively enhance the pleasure of a player.
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art
  • In the 16th century, artillery was reduced in size and matchlocks were invented as the beginning of the light firearms. Since then, firearms gradually become extremely offensive weapons with the combination of innovation of mechanical engineering and novel types of gunpowder. The development of industrial techniques also helped advance the progress of firearms, making them widely used in military and police applications, hunting, and sports.
  • Firearms are restrained and controlled in many countries and firearm fancies are only allowed to purchase toy gun or model guns for collection and possession. A variety of emulation firearm bolts that does not possess antipersonnel force are available in the market and some are referred to as toy gun bolts or BB guns.
  • The toy gun bolts that are currently available in the market have made a great progress in respect of the materials and the manufacturing techniques thereof, making the outside appearance of the toy gun bolt highly closely emulating an actual firearm. However, the internal structure of the toy gun bolt is generally not made emulating an actual bolt. For example, the operation of the toy gun bolt does not provide a power vibration and chambering sound that an actual gun may generate, making the operation of the toy gun bolt very monotonous and boring. Toy gun bolts that generate recoil forces are also available in the market. Although a recoil force is generated in pretty much the same way as an actual firearm, the sound generated when chambering is made is still poor. Electronic sound generation has also been available for such a purposes, but there is a significant difference from the chambering sound of an actual firearm.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary object of the present invention is that through connection made with a gas tube, when a hand grip is pulled and moved, the gas tube drives a striker to move so as to realize a structure for emulation of an actual bolt in a limited space.
  • Another object of the present invention is that striking and contacting between a striker and a knocker may generate sounding that is very close to actual chambering sounds so as to achieve an advantage of high degree of emulation thereby enhancing the pleasure of a user in the use of the device.
  • To achieve the above objects, the present invention structurally comprises a bolt body, a gas tube received in the bolt body and coupled a the hand grip, a striker received in the bolt body and coupled to an end of the gas tube, a knocker received in the bolt body and set on a moving path of the striker, and an abutting member fixedly mounted to one side of the striker to enhance tight engagement thereof with the knocker. The gas tube comprises an elastic element fit thereon for reciprocal movement of the hand grip. Further, the striker has one side forming a wavy section and the knocker has a side corresponding to the wavy section and forming a contact section. As such, for percussion, the hand grip is first pulled rearward for chambering and at the same time, the hand grip drives the gas tube to have the gas tube drive the striker. Further, the hand grip is returnable by means of a force applied by the elastic element in an opposite direction. During the process of position returning, the striker powerfully strikes the knocker, making the wavy section and the contact section rub each other so that they generate loud and clear sounding in an intermittent manner, achieving the sound of chambering of an actual firearm and thus improving the pleasure of a player.
  • The technique described above can overcome the problems of the conventional toy gun bolt that generates no chambering sound as an actual firearm and is thus monotonous and boring and lacks of the true sense of reality, thereby achieving a practical improvement of the present invention.
  • The foregoing objectives and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
  • Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The following descriptions are exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, the present invention comprises:
    • a bolt body 1, which comprises a movably arranged hand grip 11, the hand grip 11 having an end to which an elastic element 12, which can be a spring, is mounted for reciprocal movement of the hand grip 11 and an opposite end fixedly coupled to a connection member 13, the connection member 13 having an end fixedly coupled to a striker 14 to be described hereinafter;
    • a striker 14 (which is a solid metal piece), which is received in the bolt body 1 and coupled to the connection member 13 of the hand grip 1, the striker 14 having a side forming a wavy section 141;
    • a knocker 15 (which is a solid metal piece), which is received in the bolt body 1 at a location adjacent to a front end of a barrel and is set on a moving path of the striker 14, the knocker 15 having a side corresponding to the wavy section 141 and forming a contact section 151; and
    • an abutting member 16, which is fixedly mounted to one side of the striker 14 to enhance tight engagement thereof with the knocker 15, the abutting member 16 being arranged to be distant from the wavy section 141.
  • Referring go FIGS. 2 to 5, when a chambering operation is carried out, a loud and clear sound is generated, similar to the chambering sound of an actual firearm. Firstly, a user holds the bolt body 1 with a hand and pulls the hand grip 11 rearward, whereby at the same time, the elastic element 12 is compressed by the hand grip 11 and undergoes deformation. Further, the hand grip 11 drives, via the coupling of the connection member 13, the striker 14 to move so as to cause the striker 14 to displace with respect to and rub against the knocker 15 thereby generating intermittent sounding due to the configurations or shapes of the wavy section 141 and the contact section 151, until the hand grip 11 reaches a predetermined position. Further, the elastic element 12 that is compressed selectively initiate position returning and applying a push force to the hand grip 11 for movement in a direction toward the front end of the barrel, whereby the hand grip 11, when released by the user, is driven by the elastic element 12 to make the striker 14 powerful strike the knocker 15. Thus, similarly, through the cooperative operation between the wavy section 141 and the contact section 151, loud and clear sounding may be generated in an intermittent manner. Further, the striker 14 and the knocker 15 are solid metal pieces and thus, the striking sound generated thereby is close to the chambering sound of an actual firearm. Further, to improve the tight contact force between the striker 14 and the knocker 15, the abutting member 16 is provided to bias and cause the striker 14 to abut against the knocker 15, preventing any separation occurring therebetween.
  • Referring to FIGS. 6, 7, and 8, in another embodiment, the present invention comprises:
    • a bolt body 1a, which comprises a movably arranged hand grip 11a, the hand grip 11a having an end to which an elastic element 12a is mounted for reciprocal movement of the hand grip 11a;
    • a striker 14a, which is received in the bolt body 1 a and coupled to the hand grip 11a, the striker 14a having a side forming a wavy section 141a;
    • a knocker 15a, which is received in the bolt body 1a and is set on a moving path of the striker 14a, the knocker 15a having a side corresponding to the wavy section 141a and forming a contact section 151a; and
    • an abutting member 16a, which is fixedly mounted to one side of the knocker 15a to enhance tight engagement thereof with the striker 14a, the abutting member 16a being arranged to be distant from the contact section 151a.
  • Referring to FIGS. 7-10, when a user pulls and moves the hand grip 11a, the wavy section 141a of the striker 14a and the contact section 151 a of the knocker 15a rub each other and generate loud and clear sounding in an intermittent. On the other hand, when they are driven to move in an opposite direction by a returning force of the elastic element 12a, similar sounding may also be generated. Further, the abutting member 16a is provided to set the knocker 15a in a more tight engagement with the striker 14a to ensure bettered engagement.
  • Referring to FIGS. 11, 12, and 13, in a further embodiment, the present invention comprises:
    • a bolt body 1b, which comprises a movably arranged hand grip 11b, the hand grip 11b having an end to which a gas tube 17b is coupled, the gas tube 17b receiving an elastic element 12b to fit thereon in an encompassing manner;
    • a striker 14b, which is received in the bolt body 1b and coupled to an end of the gas tube 17b, the striker 14b having a side forming a wavy section 141b, the striker 14b being connected to an end of the elastic element 12b that is distant from the hand grip 11b; and
    • a knocker 15b, which is received in the bolt body 1b and is set on a moving path of the striker 14b, the knocker 15b having a side corresponding to the wavy section 141 b and forming a contact section 151b.
  • Referring to FIGS. 12-15, when a user pulls and moves the hand grip 11b, the hand grip 11b drives, via the coupling of the gas tube 17b, the striker 14b to move rearward. At this time, due to the biasing of the elastic element 12b, the striker 14b is provided with a capability of position returning. Thus, in position returning, the striker 14b and the knocker 15b engage and rub each other so that the wavy section 141b and the contact section 151b may generate loud and clear sounding in an intermittent manner. The instant embodiment features the gas tube 17b driving the striker 14b to generate reciprocally repeated striking thereby effectively providing a striking structure inside an existing bolt body 1b without any modification of the outside configuration.
  • The present invention provides the following advantages:
    1. (1) Through the connection made with the gas tube 17b, when the hand grip 11b is pulled and moved, the gas tube 17b drives the striker 14b to move so as to realize a structure for emulation of an actual bolt in a limited space.
    2. (2) The striking and contacting between the striker 14 and the knocker 15 may generate sounding that is very close to actual chambering sounds, achieving an advantage of high degree of emulation thereby enhancing the pleasure of a user in the use of the device.
  • It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
  • While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.

Claims (13)

  1. A firearm bolt emulation mechanism, comprising:
    a bolt body (1), which comprises a movably arranged hand grip (11), the hand grip (11) having an end to which an elastic element (12) is mounted for reciprocal movement of the hand grip (11);
    a striker (14), which is received in the bolt body (1) and coupled to the hand grip (11);
    a knocker (15), which is received in the bolt body (1) and is set on a moving path of the striker (14); and
    an abutting member (16), which is fixedly mounted to one side of the striker (14) to enhance tight engagement thereof with the knocker (15).
  2. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the striker (14) has a side forming a wavy section (141).
  3. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 2, wherein the knocker (15) has a side corresponding to the wavy section (141) and forming a contact section (151).
  4. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 2, wherein the abutting member (16) is arranged to be distant from the wavy section (141).
  5. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the knocker (15) is arranged at location adjacent to a front end of a barrel of the bolt body (1).
  6. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the elastic element (12) is a spring.
  7. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the striker (14) and the knocker (15) are solid metal pieces.
  8. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 1, wherein the hand grip (11) has an end opposite to the elastic element (12) and fixedly coupled to a connection member (13), the connection member (13) having an end fixedly coupled to the striker (14).
  9. A firearm bolt emulation mechanism, comprising:
    a bolt body (1a), which comprises a movably arranged hand grip (11a), the hand grip (11a) having an end to which an elastic element (12a) is mounted for reciprocal movement of the hand grip (11a);
    a striker (14a), which is received in the bolt body (1a) and coupled to the hand grip (11a);
    a knocker (15a), which is received in the bolt body (1a) and is set on a moving path of the striker (14a); and
    an abutting member (16a), which is fixedly mounted to one side of the knocker (15a) to enhance tight engagement thereof with the striker (14a).
  10. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 9, wherein the striker (14a) has a side forming a wavy section (141a) and the knocker (15a) has a side corresponding to the wavy section (141a) and forming a contact section (151 a).
  11. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 10, wherein the abutting member (16a) is arranged to be distant from the contact section (151a).
  12. A firearm bolt emulation mechanism, comprising:
    a bolt body (1b), which comprises a movably arranged hand grip (11b), the hand grip (11b) having an end coupled to a gas tube (17b), the gas tube (17b) comprising an elastic element (12b) to fit thereon;
    a striker (14b), which is received in the bolt body (1b) and is connected to an end of the gas tube (17b); and
    a knocker (15b), which is received in the bolt body (1b) and is set on a moving path of the striker (14b).
  13. The firearm bolt emulation mechanism according to claim 12, wherein the striker (14b) has one side forming a wavy section (141b) and the knocker (15b) has one side corresponding to the wavy section (141b) and forming a contact section (151b).
