Abstract
Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present disclosure relates to working surfaces tilted for operator's convenience.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Personnel such as draftsmen may work on a raised board, but if the desk is positioned at only a fixed angle, long time operation may cause discomfort the neck and the cervical vertebrae of the operator.
- The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the disclosure. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
-
FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a tilting board capable of being adjusted for angle, according to an exemplary embodiment. -
FIG. 2 is a partly exploded isometric view of the tilting board ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of the circled portion IV ofFIG. 2 . -
FIG. 4 is a further exploded isometric view of the tilting board ofFIG. 2 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1-3 , atilting board 100 includes anoperation plate 10, abase plate 20, a slidingrail 30, and anadjustment member 50. - The
operation plate 10 includes astop bar 12 along thebase plate 20. Theoperation plate 10 is rotationally connected to thebase plate 20. In the embodiment, theoperation plate 10 is connected thebase plate 20 via twohinges 25 fixed to ends of theoperation plate 10 and thebase plate 20. - The sliding
rail 30 includes arail 32 and twoclamping pieces 34. Therail 32 and twoclamping pieces 34 are all fixed on thebase plate 20. The twoclamping pieces 34 are parallel to each other with therail 32 between them. Eachclamping piece 34 defines a number ofslots 38. The number ofslots 38 face therail 32 and are perpendicular to thebase plate 20. - Also referring to
FIG. 4 , theadjustment member 50 is positioned between the twoclamping pieces 34. One end of theadjustment member 50 is slidably positioned on therail 32. In the embodiment, one end of theadjustment member 50 defines asliding groove 52. Theadjustment member 50 is sleeved on therail 32 via thesliding groove 52 such that theadjustment member 50 can slide along therail 32. Tworestriction pins 40 protrude from thebase plate 20 and are adjacent to two ends ofrail 32. Theadjustment member 50 is restricted to sliding between the tworestriction pins 40. Two sides of therail 32 respectively define aditch 35 along the lengthwise direction of therail 32 from one end to the opposite end. Theadjustment member 50 includes two guidingportions 54 respectively protruding from two sides of thegroove 52. The two guidingportions 54 are respectively received in the twoditches 35, such that theadjustment member 50 has only one degree of motion along therail 32. The other end of theadjustment member 50 abuts against theoperation plate 10 to support theoperation plate 10, forming an angle between theoperation plate 10 and thebase plate 20. Amagnet 55 is fixed on the said other end of theadjustment member 50. Ametal sheet 14 is fixed on a surface of theoperation plate 10 adjacent to theadjustment member 50. Themetal sheet 14 is positioned where the surface touches themagnet 55, thus theoperation plate 10 and theadjustment member 50 have a magnetic attraction for each other. - The
adjustment member 50 defines a throughhole 56 perpendicular to theclamping piece 34. Anelastic member 60 is received in thethrough hole 56. Twoclips 70 are respectively positioned at two ends of theelastic member 60 and partly received in the throughhole 56. The end of theclip 70 exposed at thethrough hole 56 is received in one of theslots 38. The twoclips 70 overcome the elastic force of theelastic member 60 in moving from oneslot 38 to anotherslot 38 when theadjustment member 50 slides along therail 32, and such moving changes the angle between theoperation plate 10 andbase plate 20. - In the embodiment, a
handle 80 protrudes from theadjustment member 50. An operator pushing on thehandle 80 makes theadjustment member 50 slide along therail 32. - It is understood that the present disclosure may be embodied in other forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, and the disclosure is not to be limited to the details given herein.
