Abstract

A tilting board for a human being operated includes an operation plate, a base plate rotationally connected to the operation plate, a sliding rail fixed on the base plate, and an adjustment member. The sliding rail is fixed on the base plate and defines a plurality of pairs of opposite slots. One end of the adjustment member abuts against the operation plate and the other end of the adjustment member is positioned between one of the pairs of opposite slots. The degree of incline of the tilting board can be changed by moving the adjustment member from the pair of opposite slots to another one of the pairs of opposite slots.

    BACKGROUND
  • 1. Technical Field
  • The present disclosure relates to working surfaces tilted for operator's convenience.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Personnel such as draftsmen may work on a raised board, but if the desk is positioned at only a fixed angle, long time operation may cause discomfort the neck and the cervical vertebrae of the operator.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
  • The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the disclosure. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
  • FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a tilting board capable of being adjusted for angle, according to an exemplary embodiment.
  • FIG. 2 is a partly exploded isometric view of the tilting board of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of the circled portion IV of FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 4 is a further exploded isometric view of the tilting board of FIG. 2.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a tilting board 100 includes an operation plate 10, a base plate 20, a sliding rail 30, and an adjustment member 50.
  • The operation plate 10 includes a stop bar 12 along the base plate 20. The operation plate 10 is rotationally connected to the base plate 20. In the embodiment, the operation plate 10 is connected the base plate 20 via two hinges 25 fixed to ends of the operation plate 10 and the base plate 20.
  • The sliding rail 30 includes a rail 32 and two clamping pieces 34. The rail 32 and two clamping pieces 34 are all fixed on the base plate 20. The two clamping pieces 34 are parallel to each other with the rail 32 between them. Each clamping piece 34 defines a number of slots 38. The number of slots 38 face the rail 32 and are perpendicular to the base plate 20.
  • Also referring to FIG. 4, the adjustment member 50 is positioned between the two clamping pieces 34. One end of the adjustment member 50 is slidably positioned on the rail 32. In the embodiment, one end of the adjustment member 50 defines a sliding groove 52. The adjustment member 50 is sleeved on the rail 32 via the sliding groove 52 such that the adjustment member 50 can slide along the rail 32. Two restriction pins 40 protrude from the base plate 20 and are adjacent to two ends of rail 32. The adjustment member 50 is restricted to sliding between the two restriction pins 40. Two sides of the rail 32 respectively define a ditch 35 along the lengthwise direction of the rail 32 from one end to the opposite end. The adjustment member 50 includes two guiding portions 54 respectively protruding from two sides of the groove 52. The two guiding portions 54 are respectively received in the two ditches 35, such that the adjustment member 50 has only one degree of motion along the rail 32. The other end of the adjustment member 50 abuts against the operation plate 10 to support the operation plate 10, forming an angle between the operation plate 10 and the base plate 20. A magnet 55 is fixed on the said other end of the adjustment member 50. A metal sheet 14 is fixed on a surface of the operation plate 10 adjacent to the adjustment member 50. The metal sheet 14 is positioned where the surface touches the magnet 55, thus the operation plate 10 and the adjustment member 50 have a magnetic attraction for each other.
  • The adjustment member 50 defines a through hole 56 perpendicular to the clamping piece 34. An elastic member 60 is received in the through hole 56. Two clips 70 are respectively positioned at two ends of the elastic member 60 and partly received in the through hole 56. The end of the clip 70 exposed at the through hole 56 is received in one of the slots 38. The two clips 70 overcome the elastic force of the elastic member 60 in moving from one slot 38 to another slot 38 when the adjustment member 50 slides along the rail 32, and such moving changes the angle between the operation plate 10 and base plate 20.
  • In the embodiment, a handle 80 protrudes from the adjustment member 50. An operator pushing on the handle 80 makes the adjustment member 50 slide along the rail 32.
  • It is understood that the present disclosure may be embodied in other forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, and the disclosure is not to be limited to the details given herein.

Claims (18)

What is claimed is:
1. A tilting board, comprising:
an operation plate;
a base plate rotationally connected to the operation plate;
a sliding rail fixed on the base plate and defining a plurality of pairs of opposite slots; and
an adjustment member, one end of the adjustment member abutting against the operation plate, the other end of the adjustment member positioned between one of the pairs of opposite slots and movable from the pair of opposite slots to another one of the pairs of opposite slots.
2. The tilting board as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sliding rail comprises two opposite clamping pieces, the plurality of pairs of slots are arranged on the two opposite clamping pieces.
3. The tilting board as claimed in claim 2, wherein the adjustment member defines a through hole perpendicular to the plurality of pairs of slots, an elastic member is received in the through hole, two clips respectively are positioned at two ends of the elastic member and partly received in the through hole, the end of the two clips being exposed the through hole are received in the pair of opposite slots, the two clips overcome the elastic force of the elastic member to move from the pair of slots to another one of the pairs of opposite slots.
4. The tilting board as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sliding rail comprises a rail positioned between the plurality of pairs of opposite slots, the adjustment member is slidably positioned on the rail.
5. The tilting board as claimed in claim 4, wherein one end of the adjustment member defines a sliding groove, the adjustment member is sleeve on the rail via the sliding groove, such that the adjustment member slide along the rail.
6. The tilting board as claimed in claim 4, further comprising two restriction pins, the two restriction pins protruding from the base plate and positioned adjacent to two ends of rail, the adjustment member restricted to slide between the two restriction pins.

The tilting board as claimed in claim 4, wherein two sides of the rail respectively defines a ditch along the lengthwise direction of the rail from one end to the opposite end, the adjustment member comprises two guiding portions opposite to each other, the two guiding portions are respectively received in the two ditches.

The tilting board as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a magnet and a metal sheet, the magnet fixed on the said other end of the adjustment member, the metal sheet fixed on a surface of the operation plate adjacent to the adjustment member, the metal sheet positioned where the surface touches the magnet.
9. The tilting board as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a handle, the handle protruding from the adjustment member.
10. A tilting board comprising:
an operation plate;
a base plate rotationally connected to the operation plate;
a sliding rail fixed on the base plate and comprising two clamping pieces, one of the two clamping pieces defining a plurality of slots; and
an adjustment member, one end of the adjustment member abutting against the operation plate, the other end of the adjustment member positioned between the two clamping pieces and partly received in one of the plurality of slots, and movable from the one slot to another slot.
11. The tilting board as claimed in claim 10, wherein the other clamping piece defines a plurality of slots respectively opposite to the plurality of slots of the said one of the two clamping pieces, said the other end of the adjustment member is positioned between a pair of opposite slots.
12. The tilting board as claimed in claim 10, wherein the adjustment member defines a through hole perpendicular to the plurality of pairs of slots, an elastic member is received in the through hole, a clip respectively is positioned at one end of the elastic member and partly received in the through hole, the end of the clip being exposed the through hole is received in one of the plurality of slots, the clip overcomes the elastic force of the elastic member to move from one slot to another slot.
13. The tilting board as claimed in claim 10, wherein the sliding rail comprises a rail between the two clamping pieces, the adjustment member is slidably positioned on the rail.
14. The tilting board as claimed in claim 13, wherein one end of the adjustment member defines a sliding groove, the adjustment member is sleeve on the rail via the sliding groove, such that the adjustment member slide along the rail.
15. The tilting board as claimed in claim 13, further comprising two restriction pins, the two restriction pins protruding from the base plate and positioned adjacent to two ends of rail, the adjustment member restricted to slide between the two restriction pins.
16. The tilting board as claimed in claim 13, wherein two sides of the rail respectively defines a ditch along the lengthwise direction of the rail from one end to the opposite end, the adjustment member comprises two guiding portions opposite to each other, the two guiding portions are respectively received in the two ditches.
17. The tilting board as claimed in claim 10, further comprising a magnet and a metal sheet, the magnet fixed on the said other end of the adjustment member, the metal sheet fixed on a surface of the operation plate adjacent to the adjustment member, the metal sheet positioned where the surface touches the magnet.
18. The tilting board as claimed in claim 10, further comprising a handle, the handle protruding from the adjustment member.
