Description
- This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Application Ser. No. 61/641,527 filed on May 2, 2012.
- 1. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to a baby bath station that is used in the caretaking of an infant.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Infant care involves several duties of a parent or a caregiver. These duties include the feeding, bathing and changing diapers of infants until the child is of age to take care of these activities themselves. Many times the parents or caregiver must place the infant on a flat surface or bed in order to change the infant's diaper. Further infants normally have a smaller tub for the infant to bath and ensure that the infant receives regular hygiene. For the caretaker the bathing and changing of the infant's diaper may cause some physical problems. Many times the infant must be lifted and then lowered onto a surface and therefore it would be advantageous to have a device or stand that may be utilized for infant care and bathing.
- The present invention relates to a baby bath station comprising: a top surface; a bathtub, where a soap dish and sponge dish are at a top edge of the bathtub; a spout below the bathtub, where the spout allows for the release of water from the bathtub; a valve, where the valve is at the top of the spout and enables the release of water into the spout; a small built-in bucket adjacent to the bathtub; a flat surface; and at least two legs to support the baby bath station. The bucket may be removable and a towel holder may provided on one side of the top surface. Further in one particular embodiment, wheels may be provided on each leg.
-
FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of a baby bath station in accordance with the present invention. - The present invention relates to a baby bath station that includes several aspects to assist in the bathing and hygiene of an infant. The baby bath station according to the present invention is a table that includes at least a bathtub with soap and sponge dishes. Further the station may be placed on wheels and includes a towel holder and a built-in bucket.
- In reference to
FIG. 1 , a perspective view of the Baby BathStation 100 is depicted. The Baby Bath Station 100 includes a Bathtub 130 where a Soap Dish 140 and Sponge Dish 150 are shown at a top edge of the Bathtub 130. Below the Bathtub 130 is a PlasticSpout 190 that allows for the flow of water to be released from the Bathtub 130. A Valve 180 is provided at the top of the Spout 190 that may be opened or closed to allow for the flow of water from the Bathtub 130. Adjacent to the Bathtub 130 is a small built-inBucket 120. TheBucket 120 may be used in conjunction with the Bathtub 130 in order to bath an infant. In one particular embodiment, theBucket 120 is removable and may be taken out of theStation 100 for cleaning and filling purposes. The Bath Station 100 includes aFlat Surface 110 and just below the flat surface on one side of the Bath Station 100 is aTowel Holder 170. The TowelHolder 170 may be used to place towels on during or after completing a bath. In this particular embodiment of the Bath Station 100 four wheels are used on each of the four legs of the Bath Station 100. The FourWheels 160 allows a individual to move the Bath Station 100 from room to room as needed in order to perform hygiene duties on a infant. - The Bath Station 100 according to present invention may be manufactured of plastic or wood materials. However preferably the Bathtub 130 is manufactured of a plastic material. Further the Bathtub 100 may include a skid-resistant surface to secure the infant in position while in the bathtub. As shown in
FIG. 1 the Bath Station 100 includes four legs which provides optimal portability as needed and further to elevate the bathing position of the infant. This elevation alleviates the need to bend over and kneel down when giving an infant a bath. The bath station according to present invention provides a safe and convenient product for a parent or caregiver. Further in one particular embodiment the legs may be adjustable to height in order to more conveniently position the bath station for use. Bath Station 100 is designed to provide all the essential aspects needed to perform bathing and hygiene on an infant. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.
