The chest apron is planned to be used in the field of public catering, in children's pre-school educational institutions, medicine, as well as in eating places on transport. The main function of this design is to protect the person’s outerwear, to the maximum, eliminating the possibility of food and other substances remaining on the user's chest.

State of the art

This utility model has a simplified prior art. It is easy to use, the cost of production materials, additional functions and parts is minimal.

Of similar models, there are different types: simple medical napkins, wraps and various children's “bibs”. Analogs are usually made of cellulose, fabric, oilcloth, polyethylene and other absorbent or water-repellent materials, often are multilayer. All these apron models have one or more components: ties, Velcro, fasteners, sewn food collector. There are also models made of plastic. They have a molded figured shape, which requires minimizing bending and deformation.

The disadvantages of these technical models are, as a rule, multiple parts that require additional production, time costs and when secured over clothing lead to unnecessary manipulation. Products and components (fabric, oilcloth, Velcro) require care and eventually lose their primary properties, appearance and attractiveness, and, most importantly, there is a risk of developing bacteria and fungus. “Bibs” with sewn pockets do not always give a guarantee of the collection of all waste. To maintain these models in good condition, household equipment, water, a place for storage and drying are required, which is impossible, for example, in road conditions. Models cast from plastic cope with the task of collecting food debris and virtually eliminate spoilage of clothes, are easy to wash, hygienic, but they deprive the product of signs of flexibility and compactness, which implies the presence of a large space for storage and transportation, as well as excess weight.

In medicine, especially dentistry, sanitary napkins have additional reusable fasteners, but tampons and other remnants of medical manipulations do not always hold, which can cause damage to the patient’s clothes. In this case, the doctor constantly needs to have additional medical staff nearby.

In a hospital, while feeding a patient and administering oral medications, it is not always possible to fix a napkin around the patient’s neck. And the already available disposable plastic aprons can not cope with the function of collecting food and drug residues, especially liquid and highly soiled, which leads to damage to pastels and medical robes.

Utility Model Disclosure

The utility model “Chest apron with food collector” will be made of a single-material material, will not require additional components, will be easy to use and will take up minimal space during storage and transportation.

When folded, the chest apron initially has the shape of a rectangle folded in half with a sealed bottom edge.

For ease of attachment, a rectangle is reserved for a circular hole in the middle or a semicircular hole in a bend (see drawing No. 1, No. 2). The holes can be two, or one, for the hands or head, respectively.

To use the apron, the rectangle should be expanded, put your hands in circular holes (see drawing No. 1), or your head (see drawing No. 2), straighten the lower corner of the apron upward so that a funnel is formed where excess food could to fall in case of accidental fall. The apron pocket is designed to collect dry and, especially, liquid food debris. After use, the apron should be removed, wiped for storage or discarded if it is not intended to be used further.

It is planned to produce such an apron for both disposable and reusable use, depending on the properties and qualities of the procurement material.

The tasks that this utility model is aimed at eliminating the additional details and costs of their production, multifunctionality, affordability and the possibility of application in various fields of human activity (catering, medicine, transportation, the domestic sphere).

The technical result is to simplify the design.

The essence of the proposed model is ease of use, compact storage sizes and ensuring almost complete clean appearance of the user. Especially, it is in demand in public places where it is necessary to provide a sufficiently large number of people, children with a protective apron, without resorting to unnecessary manipulations, and where after use, due to lack of water, detergents and time, there is a need to dispose of this apron with food waste, for example : on trains, airplanes, kindergartens and medical facilities.

At home and, especially, traveling conditions, this apron makes it easier for parents to feed and subsequently care for their baby. For storage and transportation when folded, it takes up little space and, practically, has no significant weight.

Description of drawings

The drawings depict options for two possible models of aprons when folded and unfolded (see drawing No. 1, No. 2), as well as a top view (see drawing No. 3). And a visual view of the fastening of two types of aprons directly on users in different fields of application (see. Figure No. 1, No. 2).

Utility Model Implementation

The chest apron is planned to be made of polyethylene and silicone material, that is, disposable and reusable, respectively.

For the production of disposable aprons, a strip of polyethylene folded in half is cut so that the upper edge is attached to the tear-off base, and the lower edge is completely sealed, according to the example of disposable bags. In the center a little above the middle, a circular hole is cut out, which, when unfolded, makes it possible to put the apron on your hands (option No. 1). If the apron is planned to be worn around the neck, then a half-circular hole is also made at the bend also above the middle, which in the expanded form has a circle of a larger radius so that the model fits the average size of the head (option No. 2).

Silicone material or similar in quality will be used to produce reusable models, but the principle of manufacturing molds is the same.

The dimensions of the apron patterns will take into account the parameters of the anatomical sizes of adults and children. And also much attention will be paid to the elasticity and composition of the material of manufacture, with the aim of optimal use by different users and subsequent destruction without harm to the environment.
