  • the present invention relates generally to a disposable cup lid, and more particularly, to a cup lid, which conveniently allows a user to put additives therethrough into a cup.
  • the drinking hoe of a conventional disposable cup is usually small for the purpose of limiting the flow of the hot beverage to prevent the hot beverage from burning the user's mouth and to lessen the chances of accidental overspill of the hot beverage while the user is walking and holding the cup containing the hot beverage.

  • the drinking portion 15 is provided with an opening 151 formed on a top side thereof, a through hole 152 formed at an internal lower side thereof, and an inclined guiding portion 153 formed between the opening 151 and the through hole 152 .
  • the opening 151 is bigger than the through hole 152 in diameter.
  • the drinking portion 15 protrudes upward from where is close to an external edge of the lid body 11 .
  • the opening 151 is provided with two sides, one of which is close to the external edge of the lid body 11 to be defined as an external side and the other is defined as an internal side.
  • the guiding portion 153 extends downward and outward from the internal side of the opening 151 .
  • the through hole 152 is located between a bottom end of the guiding portion 153 and the external side of the opening 151 .
  • the guiding portion 153 extends downward and outward for a length which is more than a half of an internal diameter of the opening 151 .
  • the user can put the additives, like creamer or sugar, into a cup body 20 through the opening 151 of the drinking hole 13 .
  • the additives can be guided by the guiding portion 153 to fall into the cup body 20 through the through hole 152 .
  • the hot beverage could flow through the smaller through hole 152 only because of the barrier of the guiding portion 153 for the purpose of limitation to the flow of the beverage, so it can prevent the user's mouth from burn to be operational convenient and safe.
  • the first embodiment can further include a plug 30 , which can pluggably jam the opening 151 of the drinking hole 13 to seal the opening 151 . As shown in FIG. 5 , the plug 30 can also be plugged into the concavity 16 to jam the concavity 16 .
  • the drinking hole 13 can be jammed by the plug 30 , so the user does not have the inconvenience of beverage overspill whenever the beverage is being moved or put on a moving car.
  • the user can jam the concavity 16 with the plug 30 .
  • the user can put the plug 30 back to the drinking hole 13 .
  • the plug 30 has a convexity 31 formed at an external bottom end of each of two sides thereof, and a recession 32 formed at a midsection thereof.

  • the recession 32 can engage the protrusion 161 in such a way that the plug 30 can be positioned onto the concavity 16 .
  • a retaining portion 162 is formed on an upper edge of the concavity 16 .
  • the retaining portion 162 can engage the concavity 16 to almost seal the concavity 16 and a tiny gap is still available for ventilation to prevent the liquid from overspill in such a way that the vent hole still functions.
  • Two semilunar cavities 163 each are formed at one of two sides of the concavity 16 for allowing the user to take the plug 30 by finger.
  • the drinking portion 41 extends downward and inward from an internal peripheral edge of the opening 42 to form a funneled guiding portion 43 .
  • a through hole 44 is formed at a bottom end of the guiding portion 43 .
  • an outlet 45 is formed on a top end of the guiding portion 43 for outflow of the beverage therethrough, as shown in FIG. 14 .
