Abstract

The muff with insulated holder for beverage container is an article of wearing apparel comprising of an elongated tubular member used to keep the wearers hands warm joined with a recess and pouch in which a beverage container can be placed and held. In practical use of the article of wearing apparel the hands of a wearer can be inserted into opposite ends of the muff, with either or both hands holding the recessed beverage holder, or pouch. Here the beverage can be supported as the muff and the beverage are lifted to the mouth allowing the wearer to drink.

  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention herein has relation to a new and improved muff with a holder for receiving and holding a beverage container such as a can of soda.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Speaking generally, an article of wearing apparel, which the invention presents, consists of a muff 10, constituted as an elongated tubular member, and a holder 11 on top of and extending down within the muff 10, constituted as a pouch, intended to receive a beverage container. Desirably, the material which lines the holder 11 will be resistant to passage of cold and heat from the beverage container held within, and that the material of which the elongated tubular member or muff 10 will be resistant to cold, and or, natural elements. The material comprising the muff 10 and the holder or pouch 11 may desirably be flexible.
  • The new muff with holder for beverage container will solve the problems of keeping hands warm, while a beverage cold, and also allow for hands free holding of said beverage.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • In the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification,
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a muff with insulated holder for beverage container incorporating features and characteristics of the invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a central longitudinal view, taken on line 2-2 in FIG. 1; and
  • FIG. 3 is a transverse sectional view, taken on line 3-3 in FIG. 1;
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The tubular member or muff 10 can be of any preferred configuration in transverse direction, as, for example, circular, elliptical, rectangular, etc. As shown, said tubular member or muff 10 is circular and of uniform diameter throughout its length, as well as open at its opposite ends 12, 12.
  • A circular hole 13 or recess in the top portion of the tubular member or muff 10 wall is equidistantly spaced from the opposite ends of said tubular member or muff 10 in the disclosure as made. Contained inside the circular hole 13 or recess the holder, or pouch 11 is, as shown, of cylindrical configuration and of size to readily receive and to hold a cylindrical beverage container, such as a can 14. The outer border of the mouth of the holder or pouch 11 is stitched, or otherwise secured, as at 15, to material of the tubular member or muff 10, directly surrounding the recess or pouch 11, in such manner that said recess or pouch 11 is supported within said tubular member or muff 10 as clearly disclosed in FIGS. 2 and 3, in equally spaced relation to the opposite ends 12,12. The holder or pouch 11, recedes into the center of the tubular member or muff 10 and can be accessed there when hands are placed inside the tubular member or muff 10.
  • A continuous carrying cord 16 for the new and improved muff with holder for beverage container has a first length thereof extending through the tubular member or muff 10 and includes a second length (not shown) to be supported upon the neck of a wearer.

Claims (1)

1. What we claim as our invention is an article of the character described comprising a muff constituted as an elongated member having an open ended hand receiving elongated passageway therethrough bounded by and extending from end to end of a continuous wall of said elongated member, and an apertured holder, or pouch, insulated or not, for receiving and holding a beverage container constituted as a pair of joined elements, providing protection from natural elements for the wearer's hands while at the same time allowing the to hold and drink contained beverage.
