,Having fully described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by'Letters Patent is:

1. A broom attachment adapted to secure a The cover covering over a broom head comprising a flexible stamped metal band having a roughened surface adapted to prevent vertical displacement of the attachment on the broom head, a plurality of openings in one end of saidband and a tongue at the other end of the band adapted to engage one of said openings and firmlyyandpermanently secure the band around a broom head, pairs of perforated ears struck from the band, serrated portions struck from the stock of the band beneath said ears and adapted to form the inner jaws of clips, spring pressed outer jaw members having pairs of'perforated ears and serrated lower'ends, pivotally' mounted on said ears struck a from the band and adapted to form the outer jaws of said clips, and secure the cover over the broom 2. A broom attachment adapted'tosecure a covering over a broom head comprising an ad-' justable stamped metal band adapted to be mounted on the broom head having a roughened surface adapted to prevent displacement of the band on the broom head, adjustable means for permanently and securely mounting said band on the broom head, clips consisting of pairs of perforated ears struck up from the band, and stamped metal spring pressed jaws 'pivotally mounted on said ears, and adapted to secure the covering to the band substantially as specified.

5. An attachment for securinga covering on' a broom head comprising an adjustable stamped metal band having means for firmly and permanently securing the band on a broom head, and

clips mounted on the band for removably securmg the covering to the band.

6. A stamped metal cover retaining device for broom heads, comprising a band firmly and permanently secured around the broom head, and clamping means arranged on the band adapted to secure the covering in place.
