- Not applicable.
- The present invention relates generally to a hangtag, and more particularly to a hangtag that is made with adjustable upper and lower fasteners, so that the distance between the upper and lower clips can be adjusted for different products with different specifications.
- Many products sold in the market today rely on the hangtag for display and management. Moreover, this type of hangtag is widely used with all kinds of hand tools and the products with related components, and the structure varies depending on the shape and feature of the product that is placed upon it. For instance, some hangtags are made with the combination of blister and paperboard with the product placed in it; some hangtags have holders for the handles of hand tools to clip. Even though there are many types of hangtags, however, the designs for some of the products still present problems. Take the plaster trowel for example, it has a low profile that takes lot of spaces, and there is a grip that sticks out, if this type of product uses the hangtag made with the combination of blister and paperboard, the amount of the material used for it would not be economical. Moreover, even though the shapes of the low profile of the plaster trowel are the same, however, the specifications are different; therefore, all styles have to be made separately, which increases it cost obviously. Moreover, most of the time, the hangtag becomes waste after the consumer bought the product.
- Thus, it would be an advancement if the art to provide an improved hangtag that fits all products with different specifications can significantly improve the efficacy.
- The effects of the present invention are as follows:
-
- 1. Providing the upper and
lower fastener 10 that can be adjusted, which is the new design that is first seen in the industry and meets the qualification for new patent. - 2. By this improvement, the distance between the upper and
lower clip

- The new effect of this invention is explained as follows:
-
- 1. The design of the connection between the upper and
lower fasteners jagged edge 14 andrack 24 has an advantage of fast and high efficiency. - 2. The two walls of the □-
shape slot 23 of combiningend 22 of thelower fastener 20 are KPI (A) type, with this design, when the connectingend 12 of theupper fastener 10 is fastened in the □-shape slot 23, and thejagged edge 14 and therack 24 are connected, the idea is using the two inner walls of the O-shape slot 23 to create the clipping action that can prevent the connectingend 12 of theupper fastener 10 from coming off the □-shape slot 23 easily.

- As shown in
FIG. 1 , an adjustable hangtag structure embodied in the present invention comprises: -
- adjustable upper and
lower fasteners suspension hole 13 on the top of theupper fastener 10, and aupper clip 11 beneath theupper fastener 10; underneath the upper clip has a connectingend 12 that can be extended downward, and there sets the first locating point (see later part for example); there is alower clip 21 placed on the bottom of thelower fastener 20, and a combiningend 22 located on the top of the lower clip that can be extended upward, and there is the second locating point (see later part for example) on the combining end for the first locating point ofupper fastener 10 mentioned above to select the section for connection.
- adjustable upper and
- The
upper clip 11 and thelower clip 21 of the upper andlower fastener - Moreover, the upper and
lower fastener end 12 of the upper faster 10 is a long piece of board, and the first locating point is thejagged edge 14 placed at the bottom of the board (seeFIG. 4 ). The connectingend 22 of thelower fastener 20 has a □-shape slot that connects the long connectingend 12 mentioned above. The second locating point is therack 23 that is placed on both sides of the □-shape slot, which is for thejagged edge 14 of the connectingend 12 of theupper fastener 10 mentioned above to select the section for connection (seeFIGS. 5 and 6 ). - The two walls of the □-
shape slot 23 of combiningend 22 of thelower fastener 20 are KPI (A) type, with this design, when the connectingend 12 of theupper fastener 10 is fastened in the □-shape slot, and thejagged edge 14 and therack 24 are connected, the idea is using the two inner walls of the □-shape slot 23 to create the clipping action that can prevent the connectingend 12 of theupper fastener 10 from coming off the □-shape slot 23 easily. - Through the above structure and design, the adjustable hangtag disclosed by the present invention can be the hangtag for plaster trowel, please see
FIGS. 2 and 3 . Theupper clip 11 of theupper fastener 10 is clipped to the upper edge of thelow profile 31 of the plaster trowel 30 (as shown in the figure), and thelower clip 21 of thelower fastener 20 is clipped to the lower edge of thelow profile 31 of theplaster trowel 30, then take the connectingend 12 of theupper fastener 10 and fasten it to the □-shape slot 23 of the combiningend 22 of thelower fastener 20 to connect thejagged edge 14 and therack 24. By doing so, the combination of the hangtag and plaster trowel is completed, and the distance between the upper andlower clips low profiles 31 ofplaster trowel 30 with different specifications. (30B) (seeFIGS. 2 and 8 , and the plaster trowel with the different low profiles), this way, not only it would greatly reduce the cost, but also increase the efficiency on assembling.
