Abstract
A coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool includes a plurality of panels in which the panels are, in case, welded one to another and firmly fixed to the surfaces of the swimming pool. The coating is realized with materials resistant to corrosion and to atmospheric agents, like PVC (polyvinyl chloride), and has decorations reproducing photographs and/or personalizations of any kind.
Description
- The present invention concerns a coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool.
- More in detail, the present invention concerns a coating for a swimming pool in particular but not only to be applied to a swimming pool of the kind used in a construction or recreation compound. As it is well known, many residential recreation compounds, like e.g. those known as a tourist village, are provided with a swimming pool. But these swimming pools, unlike those of sporting installations, often are in the open air and therefore exposed to atmospheric agents.
- The exposure to atmospheric agents, especially in winter when said swimming pools usually are emptied, implies the erosion of the original coating of the surfaces, usually out of ceramic material, and the further, quick degradation if no action is taken.
- It is also known that along the line separating the immersed from the part exposed to air on the walls of said swimming pools, near the board, black lines are formed due to the deposit of dirt and/or micro-organisms in the water.
- It is not difficult to understand that both cases represent functional as well as aesthetic disadvantages. In fact, in both cases it is very expensive to restore the original surface because very often the whole coating of said surfaces must be replaced.
- It is the aim of the present invention to provide a coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool that maintains the usual functionality thereof and solves above mentioned inconveniences.
- A further aim is to provide a coating that allows modifying the look of the walls and/or of the bottom of the swimming pool.
- These and other purposes, that will be described herein below, are reached by means of the coating for the surfaces of swimming pools according to the present invention, comprising a plurality of panels, welded one to another and firmly fixed to the surfaces of said swimming pool.
- The realization and functional features of the coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool according to the present invention will be described more in detail herein below relating to preferred embodiments.
- A coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool according to the present invention mainly comprises a panel or a plurality of panels, wherein said panels are, in case, welded one to another and firmly fixed to the surfaces of said swimming pool, e.g. by means of adhesives with liquid PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or other suitable adhesives.
- Each and one of the panels are realized out of materials resistant to corrosion and to the aggression of atmospheric agents.
- Preferably, said panels are out of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or other suitable material. Such other materials could be, e.g., cloths out of polyester fibres coated with PVC on both sides, with a thickness of some tenth of a millimetre.
- Each or part of the panels of the plurality of panel is realized by reproducing on it decorations and/or photographs and/or any kind of personalization by means of techniques for the reproduction of images like printing, serigraphy, hot transfer, application of coloured films or other suitable techniques, already known and therefore not further described.
- Each of the panels of the plurality of panels is provided with a further protection by means of a known surface treatment, so as to improve its resistance to wear and its impermeabilization.
- Each of the panel of the plurality of panels according to the present invention has, on the area that will be placed on the separation line between the immersed part of the wall and the one exposed to the air, a decoration with fading such as to cover or hide the black line that is formed on the walls of a swimming pool coated according to the known technique.
- The application of the coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool according to the present invention also provides the connection of the panels by means of welding, preferably high frequency welding or with a warm air generator of the “Leister” kind; as well as the fixing thereof to the surfaces of said swimming pool.
- The application of the coating panels may be advantageously realized also by placing between said panels and the surface of the swimming pool a bi-adhesive film Such film may also be previously applied to said panels and protected with a paper film that may be taken away during installation.
- It is evident that the coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool according to the present invention may be comfortably applied to any kind of swimming pool thus allowing to solve in a cheap and simple way the mentioned inconveniences.
- Finally, it is obvious that the coating according to the present invention may be applied to a limited portion or to all surfaces of the swimming pool, comprising the boards and the overflowing board.
- Advantageously, the coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool according to the present invention has proved to be particularly resistant to the aggression of atmospheric agents and efficient in remaining clean, rejecting the deposit of dirt caused by the deposit of micro-organisms like moulds or other.
- The coating for the surfaces of a swimming pool according to the present invention has furthermore proved to be particularly versatile, allowing a simple diversification and personalization of the decorations with the use of not predefined images, like photographs.
- In this case, the coating may be also temporarily applied to the swimming pool, e.g. putting it on the bottom of said swimming pool a frame with a special ballast onto which said coating is fixed, for obtaining the personalization of the basin with sports events, ceremonies, manifestations etc, or reproducing publicity spots, trademarks, personages, stars, etc.
