Description
- The present invention relates to the field of domestic hygiene and more particularly to the field of refuse and garbage collection.
- A specific subject of the invention is a dustbin receptacle for domestic use.
- In a house dustbins are presented in many different forms and different designs. Two main types of dustbin can however be distinguished.
- The first consists of a generally cylindrical or parallelepipedic shaped container, the upper part of which is open and provided with a hinged lid on the upper rim of said container. The opening and closing of this lid is obtained by a mechanism actuated using a pedal or simply by hand. To facilitate the transfer of refuse, when the dustbin is full, to a large main container emptied by the refuse collection service, the dustbin can also comprise a removable inner bucket.
- The second type of dustbin is presented simply in the form of a cylindrical or parallelepipedic shaped container open on its upper part and provided with a detachable lid fitted with a gripping handle.
- Whatever the type of dustbin, the interior of the container or the bucket is generally lined with a plastic bag, in order to facilitate the transfer of refuse placed in the bag when this is full. This bag also makes it possible to keep the inside of the dustbin clean.
- However, this solution is not entirely satisfactory, as the user of the dustbin is obliged to replace the bag each time. This operation is relatively tiresome and can prove to be quite unhygienic, the user quite easily coming into contact with the refuse if the bag has not been replaced swiftly enough, for example because the reserve of unused clean bags is not close to the dustbin or the user has not thought to make such a replacement or also because the size of the dustbin does not facilitate putting a bin bag in place.
- Therefore, the aim of the invention is to do away with the replacement of individual bags, in particular to eliminate the drawbacks linked with the use of dustbins of the prior art.
- According to the invention, this result is obtained by a dustbin container intended in particular for a use which is more particularly domestic, comprising a bottom, a side wall and an opening opposite the bottom, characterized in that the receptacle comprises a false bottom delimiting with the bottom, a compartment able to receive a reserve of bags, the false bottom being provided with an opening allowing the passage of a single bag, the bags being joined successively to one another in a detachable manner, the removal of a bag previously in place in the receptacle leading to the extraction of another bag from the compartment until the separation of said bags and so on for the other bags.
- These bags preferably consist of a pre-cut strip of bags, assembled in such a way that the closed end of a bag is fixed to the openable end of the following bag.
- Advantageously, this strip of bags is packaged in the form of a roll.
- According to another embodiment, this strip of bags can also be folded alternately down the length of the strip, this folding being carried out according to a given spacing, in such a way as to obtain a packet of approximately parallelepipedic shape.
- According to a particular embodiment, the false bottom is fixed to the inner surface of the side wall of the receptacle, in a pivoting position extending between an open position and a closed position.
- According to another embodiment, the false bottom is made in two parts, each part being fixed to the inner surface of the side wall of the receptacle, in a pivoting position extending between an open position and a closed position, the two parts in closed position delimiting a space forming the opening allowing the passage of bags.
- According to another characteristic of the invention, the false bottom is removable. It is then made in one piece.
- The false bottom also comprises a means for locking making it possible to keep it in closed position for use, and in particular a locking device making it possible to fasten the false bottom in a particularly effective manner.
- According to another characteristic, the bottom of the receptacle is mounted on the side wall of the latter in a pivoting or sliding manner.
- The invention will be better understood following the description given hereafter with reference to the attached drawings in which:
- FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a vertical cross-section of a dustbin receptacle according to the invention;
- FIG. 2 is a diagram of a strip of bags used for the implementation of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is a schematic view of the top of a dustbin receptacle according to the invention;
- FIG. 4 is a schematic view of the vertical cross-section of a dustbin receptacle as illustrated in FIG. 1 showing the pivoting of the false bottom.
- The dustbin receptacle (1) comprises a bottom (2) and a side wall (3) contiguous with the bottom and presenting opposite this a rim (4) delimiting an opening (5). This opening (5) is thus found approximately facing the bottom (2).
- According to the invention, the receptacle (1) comprises, in addition, a false bottom (6) which with the bottom (2) delimits a compartment (7) in the lower part of the receptacle, the usefulness of which will be explained later.
- The false bottom (6) comprises an opening (8) which is preferably oblong in shape, for example rectangular as illustrated in FIG. 3. Preferably, this opening (8) will be situated in the centre of the false bottom (6).
- A reserve of bags is placed in the compartment (7) of the receptacle (1).
- According to the invention, these bags are joined successively to one another in a detachable manner.
- According to a preferential embodiment, which is known per se, illustrated in FIG. 2, these bags are joined in the form of a strip (11) pre-cut in such a way that each bag (9) is joined by its closed end (9 a) to the opening end (9 b) of the following bag (9′) and so on for the other bags (9″, 9′″, etc.).
- In order to be positioned in the compartment (7), this strip of bags (11) can, advantageously be arranged in a roll (not illustrated) or folded alternately at right angles to its length, according to a given spacing, for example the length of a bag (9), in order to obtain, at the end, substantially a packet (not illustrated) of substantially parallelepipedic shape.
- According to an embodiment illustrated in FIG. 4, the false bottom (6) is mounted in a pivoting manner on the inner surface (12) of the side wall (3) of the receptacle (1), for example by means of a hinge (not illustrated) the pivoting axis of which is inscribed in a plane parallel to that of the bottom (2), between a closed position (A) and an open position (B). This hinge will advantageously be provided with an elastic element, such that the false bottom (6) returns to its closed position of normal use as shown in FIG. 1.
- In another embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the false bottom comprises two parts (6 a, 6 b). Each part is mounted in a pivoting manner on the inner surface (12) of the side wall in the same manner as described previously for the false bottom in one part which is mounted in a pivoting manner.
- The space (13) delimited by the two parts (6 a, 6 b), when the false bottom is in a closed position of use, constitutes the opening (8).
- According to another embodiment which is not represented, the false bottom (6) can be removable. The inner surface of the side wall of the receptacle will thus comprise a peripheral shoulder on which the peripheral edge of the false bottom comes to rest.
- When the false bottom (6) is mobile (in one or two parts) or removable, it will also comprise means for locking in a closed position (A) of normal use.
- In other embodiments which are not illustrated, the bottom (3) can be movable. For example, the bottom (3) can be sliding. To that end, the side wall of the receptacle will comprise, on its internal surface, a groove able to receive the peripheral edge of the bottom (3).
- The bottom can also be fixed to the side wall of the receptacle, for example using a hinge, in a pivoting manner extending between a closed position and an open position. This bottom will therefore comprise a means of locking in a closed position of use.
- The fact that the false bottom (6) and/or the bottom (3) are mobile or removable, allows the user to easily access the interior of the compartment (7) in order to supply again the latter with unused plastic bags.
- When the receptacle (1) of the dustbin is in its normal configuration for use, a first bag (9) can be drawn, via the opening (8) in the false bottom (6) from the compartment (7) to line the volume (10) of the receptacle (1) intended to receive refuse and garbage. For this, the opening end (9 b) of said bag (9) is folded over the exterior part of the shoulder (4) of the side wall (3) of the receptacle (1).
- When the dustbin is full, the bag (9) in which the refuse has been deposited is withdrawn towards the exterior of the dustbin, which has the consequence of progressively pulling out, via the opening (8), a new bag (9′) from the compartment (7). The bag (9) is joined to the next (9′) in a sufficiently solid manner to allow it to be pulled out of the compartment (7) but, however, in a detachable manner to allow the user to separate them by tearing them off.
- The new bag is repositioned in the same manner as the previous bag (9) in the receiving volume of the dustbin receptacle (1).
- The process is carried out in the same manner for the other bags contained in the compartment.
- In practice, between each use, the opening of said dustbin receptacle can be closed, in a standard manner, with the aid of a removable lid.
- This dustbin receptacle can also be positioned in the container of a standard dustbin.
- The dustbin receptacle for domestic use, as has just been described, can be manufactured, in a non-limiting manner, from plastic, wood or metal and in different shapes (cylindrical, parallelepipedic, etc.).
- By domestic use is meant use in all parts of the house (bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms, living room, etc.) and also in the car, at the office, etc.
