This invention relates to improvements in storage bags and more particularly for mothproof bags for storing fur and other garments.

A particular object of this invention is the provision of a transparent window in the bag in combination with a receptacle on the inside of the bag containing moth-killing or moth-expelling ingredients, the receptacle being so constructed that the moth-killing or moth-expelling ingredients Will be confined Within the cover of the receptacle until the bag is actually used as a storage container.

Further objects of the invention will be apparent from the specification and drawings in which Fig. 1 is a side elevation of the upper p0rtion of the bag which is the subject of my invention.

Fig. 2 also shows the manner in which the cellophane cover shown in detail in Fig. 7 is detached from the pocket.

10 is the bag body having the front wall 11 and the rear wall 12. 13 is the hook by which the bag is suspended, 14 being the hanger attached to the hook on the inside of the bag. This hook and bag are of the conventional form and constitute no part of this invention.

15 are metal closures used to tightly seal the side of the bag 10. 16 is a cellophane window in the front wall 11 of the bag and it should be understood that this cellophane window is attached to the front wall of the bag in an air-tight fashion.

Rearwardly and exposed to view through the cellophane window 16 is the pocket 17 which is attached to the inside of the rear Wall of the bag, the body of the pocket 18 being formed from the blank shown in Fig. 4 and folded along the lines 19 as shown in Fig. 2.

The blank 18 is glued to the rear wall 12 of the bag. The odoriferous member shown in Fig. 5 is then inserted. This may be paper impregnated with oil of cedar or other moth-killing or moth-expelling member and is designated as 20 in the drawings. Over the odoriferous member 20 is a partial cover 21 having the openings 22 through which the odoriferous material 20 is gradually expelled.

In order to conserve the odoriferous material in the pocket 17 until the bag is used, the pocket 17 has the cellophane cover 23 which is fastened along its edges 24 to the pocket 17 and is provided with a handle 25 by which the cover 23 may be detached from the pocket 17 when it is desired to release the odoriferous material within the pocket.

It will be apparent that by this arrangement, the odoriferous material will retain its strength until the bag is used and may be readily released at the will of the user of the bag.

I have shown in this embodiment a side opening bag, but it is evident that my invention may be equally applied to a bag opening at the top or bottom and that further changes may be made in the construction of the bag and in details thereof without departing from the spirit of my invention.

My principal object in this bag has been to provide a bag with a cellophane window and with a pocket containing moth-killing ingredients which moth-killing ingredients are not used until the bag is actually used as a storage container and preferably the pocket is exposed through the transparent window employed in the bag.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim is:

1. In a storage bag, the combination of a wall thereof having a transparent window, moth repelling ingredients contained in a pocket in alignment with said window, a transparent cover sealing said moth-repelling ingredients in said pocket, and a handle attached to said transparent cover whereby the contents of said pocket may be exposed to the atmosphere of the interior of said storage bag when said handle is actuated to displace said transparent window.

2. In a storage bag, the combination of a wall of said bag having a transparent window therein, a pocket for moth-repelling ingredients in alignment with said transparent window, and a transparent cover for said pocket by Which said mothrepelling ingredients are sealed in said pocket, and a handle on said transparent covering by which said transparent covering can be removed from said pocket.

3. In a storage bag, the combination of a storage bag body having a transparent window in one wall thereof, a pocket for holding moth-repelling ingredients on the inside of said bag and in alignment with said transparent window, and a transparent detachable cover for said pocket for sealing said moth-repelling ingredients therein, and a handle inside of said bag and attached to said cover by which said cover may be removed from said pocket to expose said moth-repelling ingredients to the atmosphere of said bag.
