With these and other objects in view, my invention comprises the novel construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and thereafter particularly pointed out in the claims.

Referring to the modified form shown in Figs. 4-6, the collar 11 is provided with the single bracket 24 with the bore 25 through which passes the U-shaped wire 26 secured to the cap 15 to form a hinged joint for the cap 15. As shown in Fig. 6, the shape of the wire 26 allows for loose play for the cap 15 and, this form may dispense with the spring 16 used in the Figs. 1-3 construction. As shown in Fig. 5 the collar 11 is additionally provided with the guide 2'7 to allow the hook 211 to pass between the lug 21 and guide 2'7; such hook may be shifted laterally so as to be disengaged from the lug 21 upon raising of thecap 15 as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 5. The other parts shown in Figs. 4-6 are the same as corresponding parts in Figs. 1-3 already described.
In operation, when the cap 15 is in its Fig. 2
open position, the container is sealed by the operator pressing the can 15 down to its Fig. 3 position against the tension of the spring 16 by which the hook 2D snaps by the lug 21 and engages therewith as shown by dotted lines in Fig. 3.. Then the cap 15 with collar 11 is screwed down on the nozzle 9 by twisting in a clockwise directionlFig. 2), until the arm 22 presses firmly on the shoulder 3 which frictional engagement iocks the collar ii and cap 15 in place with the concave crown is sealing the nozzle opening 10 as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. I claim as my invention:-
1. A container having an exteriorly screwthreaded nozzle, an interiorly threaded collar on said nozzle, 9. cap hinged to said collar, coacting means on the cap and collar oppositely disposed from the cap hinge to hold the cap on the nozzle, and means arranged on said collar and container permitting only a limited rotary movement of the collar on said nozzle in both directions when removing and securing the cap.
2. A container having an exteriorly screwthreaded nozzle, an interiorly threaded collar on said nozzle, a cap hinged to said collar and having a spring normally holding the cap away from the nozzle, coacting means on the cap and collar oppositely disposed from-the cap hinge to hold the cap on the nozzle while compressing said spring, and means arranged on said collar and container permitting only a limited rotary movement of the collar on said nozzle in both directions when removing and securing-the cap.
3. A container having an exteriorly screwthreaded nozzle centrally disposed on the container shoulder, an interiorly threaded collar on said nozzle, a cap hinged to said collar, a depend-- ing hook member on, said cap, a lug on said collar to engage with said hook member when the cap is seated on the nozzle and collar, said hook member and lug being disposed opposite to said cap hinge, and means carried by the collar to irictionally engage on the container shoulder to limit the rotary movement of both cap and collar when the latter is screwed down on said nozzle. 4. A container having an exteriorly screwthreaded nozzle centrally disposed on the container shoulder, an interiorly threaded collar on said nozzle, a cap hinged to said collar and having a spring normally holding the cap awayirom the nozzle, a depending hook member on said cap, a lug on said collar to engage with said hook member when the cap is seated on the nozzle and collar while compressing said spring, said hook memberv and lug being disposed opposite to said cap hinge, and means carried by the collar to trictionally engage on the container shoulder to limit the rotary movement of both cap and collar when the latter is screwed down on said nozzle.
5. A container having an exteriorly screwthreaded nozzle centrally disposed on the container shoulder, an interiorly threaded collar on said nozzle, a cap hinged to said collar, a depending hook member on said cap, a lug on said collar to engage with said hook member when the cap is seated on the nozzle and collar, said hook member and lug being disposed opposite to said cap hinge, means carried by the collar to irictionally engage on the container shoulder to limit the rotary movement of both cap and collar when the latter is screwed down on said nozzle, and means to limit the rotary movement of the collar when .unscrewedirom the nozzle to release the cap.
