` Drawer slides of the type herein disclosed have been rather. expensive to construct previous to my invention and the type of drawerslides which have been relatively cheap to. construct were subject to several disadvantages, that is, they lacked several functions which made for efcient operationand their cheapness was only attained by the elimination of certain desirable structure. Hence, it is the purpose of the instant invention to provide a drawer slide which is not only simple in construction, such simplicity goinghand in hand with economy, but the structure is such that it will be long lived and give eiiicient performance during its entire period of use and such performance embodies durability, easy operation, full and complete closing, ready removing and replacing, and other advantages of some# what vminor importance. i
Other advantages' will be scription proceeds.

Referring to the drawings, numeral 10 indisimilar parts Cates the cabinet which includes .vertical rein-V forcing strips 11, thesereinforcing strips supporting the horizontal track members 12.. track member V.and its associated structure is located oneach side of the sliding drawer.
The track member 12 is of channel shape, see Fig. 4 particularly, and italso has lips 13 ex- One . floating plate tending inwardly toward one another. As shown depressed portion 14 for a purpose to belater described. Y Y f The lower iiange of the track l2 near the front endthereof hasa. rectangular opening lformed therein as is clearly shown in Fig. 6, thisopening Vin Fig. 2the lower flange of the track 12 has a f receiving the saddle member 15 therein, this sadl die member being bentto U-shapedconguration, see Fig. 4.,. and 'having end'projections 16,v
see Fig. ,2, whereby 'it detachably rests-in the opening in the track member. Also, the saddleVr member'has an alined slot lite-receive theiioating roller means 18, such being clearly disclosed in Figsil,` 2, 4 and 5; l .1.. lReferring now to Fig.y 10,120 designates the drawensuch drawer havinga handle 21 and hav-` ing angle members welded to either side thereof,` the flanges 22 of these members extending into the, track member betweenl the upper f and lower flanges thereof'as isV clearly shown in Fig.. 4 of the drawings. The extreme inner end' ofthe iiange memberl 22 is curved upwardly to forman abutment as shown at 23, see Figs'. 1 and 2.. J
i Also, a s top member 19 is welded to the bottom ofthe drawer. andllimits its outward movement. floating plate`member25 is of "such size as to be readily received between the iianges of the horizontal track member 12, and it has bosses or ,i vprojections 26 struck therefrom, these `bosses as is clearly shown in Figs. 1 and`2. Also, the
plate` 25.has va laterally bent portion 29v which -servSS asguiding means for the entry vof thev abutment 23 into its operative' position between the-' rollers 27 and 28.
. j The operation piFig.. '1 shows the ange 22 of the drawer in its outer'position and-the abutment 23 of the flange. bears against the upper roller 27. The 'stop .19' prevents i excessive outward movement of the" drawer' during vnormal operation. During Athe outward movement ofthe drawer `to itsfully ex,r` tended position the abutment 23always Vcauses the floatingV plate v25 to assume, its proper position and hence the drawer is properly supported at alltimes. Also, the front edge 'of the floating plate 25 may abutagainst the'inner portion 16 of the saddle member 15 to positively prevent the' far. v v I,
AsV shown in Fig.2 the flange 22 and,`of.cours`e`,. `the drawerpropen is located inits inner position from being pulled' outwardly too and when the drawer is moved outwardly therefrom, the flange 22 is supported at the front end i upon the iioating memberA 13 and near its rear tion.
portion upon the lower roller 28. As the drawer' moves outwardly, 'thefweight thereof may cause,
28 rests in the depression llland consequently in a fullyclosed posi'- f' the drawer is maintained When it is desired to remove the drawenit is pulled outwardly to its fully'.extended'positiom and then the front end of the drawer is slightly Y lifted whereupon the curved portion 23 of theV an'ge moves downwardly ,infront ofwthewlower roller member 28 and also the stop 19v is lifted over the cross piece underneath the front of the drawerand hence the drawer can now be moved outvvvrardly into disassembled relationship with the cabinet supporting n the same. -To reinsertA the' drawer the ianipulation'is reversed, rthe curved portion 23 being guided to a point below Ythe roller 27 by means of the guiding lug 29 and then the curved portion 23 rises' behind the roller 27 and upon pushing the drawer'rearwardly the flange 22 is inserted between the rollers 27` and Letters Patent of I comprising,` a traciehaving an opening therei 28, these, rollers contacting with the upper and lower sides of the track member, asis clearly shown in Figs. 7 and 8, these rollers also revolving so that the floating plate 25 moves rearwardly at approximately' one-half of the speedjthat the rear end of the drawer Vmoves inwardly.
From the above description, it will be appreciated thati I have'invented van extremely simple device," as regards its structure, whereby it may be very economically manufacturedand yet, it willbe seen that theV operationof such device is very eicientinasmuch Vas there areffewer parts to get outnof order.' -Zurtherrn'ore,'thejconstru tion permits readydisassemblylaswellas .assembly.v l i l f Having thus :revealed `this invention, 1 claimas new and desirefto secure the following combiriav tions and elements, or'eouivalfents `t ereof, vby theUnited States;v
