This invention relates to a pouch for toilet articles.
The object of the invention is the production of a pouch for toilet articles of flexible material,
5 and which can be easily folded when not in use to fit a ladies hand bag and the like.
The second object of the invention is the production of a pouch for toilet articles, which can be easily unfolded to simultaneously bring into 0 View and Vmake accessible the mirror, powder compacts and powder puns thereof.
The third object of the invention is the production of a pouch for toilet articles having detachably supported therein powder compacts and powder puffs, with the latter bearing on the former when. the pouch is not in use and in 'folded position.
The fourth object of the invention is the production of a pouch for toilet articles containing a mirror, powder compacts and powder puffs which can be easily detached.
In the accompanying drawing Fig. 1 represents a plan View partly broken away of an exempliiication of the pouch for toilet articles, and in its open or extended position; Fig. 2 shows a section of Fig. l on the lino 2, 2; Fig. 3 indicates a section on a reduced scale of Fig. 1 on the line 3, 3; Fig. 4 is a section on a reduced scale of Fig. l on the line 4, 4; Fig. 5 indicates a view similar to Fig. 1 of a modification of the pouch and Fig. 6 is a section of Fig. 5 on the line 6,6.
The pouch for toilet articles in this exempliilcation is indicated to consist of the body portion 20 i of fabric or other flexible material or variouscolo ors, having the longitudinal side edges 21, the top edge 23 and the bottom edge 24. The said body portion 20 is adapted to be folded on the dotted lines 25 and 26. 'Y
To the'inner face of the upper portion of the body portion 20 and at its side edges 21 and the top edge 23 is stitched the mirror holding member 29 having the lower edge 30, by means of the stitching 31. An oval opening 32 in this instance 4,; is indicated in the member 29. The said member 29 may be vof the same material and thesame color as the body portion 20. An upper pocket .33 is formed between the body portion 20 and.
the member 29. An inner holding flap 35 has its loweredge stitched to the lower edge 30 of the member 29 by the stitching 36. A mirror 38 is detachably positioned in the pocket 33 and is held in place by the holding flap 35.
At about the middle portion of the body portion 20 of the pouch is indicated the inner member ct flexible material, which may be of thin the user withdraws one of the powder puis havthe powder puns bear on the powder compacts material of the same col-or as t-he body portion 20, or of a different color. A cushion member 4l, preferably of heavy material and generally of the same color as the body portion`20 is positioned upon the member 40. A cover 42 of stii material, preferably Celluloid and the like and having a pair of openings 43'is positioned over the, inember 4l. The members 40, 4l and the cover 42 are stitched to each other and to the body portion 20, by means of the stitching 45, and the members 40, 41 and cover 42 are stitched to eachother by the longitudinal central stitching 48 forming a pair of compact pocketsl 50. A pair of concaved compact holders are indicated at 52 'with their powder compacts 53 and 54 which are preierably of different colors. The compact 531 may be red and the compact 54 may be white.
At the lower portion of the body portion 20 is indicated the inner member 57, which may be of thin iiexible material of the same or different color as the body portion 20. A powder puff holding member 58 of flexible material similar to the body portion 20 and of the same or a different color as the said body portion 20, having a pair of openings 59 is positioned over the inner member 57. The openings 59 are longitudinally in line with the openings 43. The members 57 and 58 are stitched at their tcp and side edges to the body portion 20 by the stitching 64. A longitudinal line of stitching connects the members 57 and 58 to form a pair oi powder puff pockets 66. A pair ofY powder puls are each indicated `having the circular body portion 70,v with the operating loop 7l. The saidbody portions 70 are detachably positioned between the members 57 and 58 axially in line with the openings 59. y

When the user finishes using the pouch it is folded on theline 25 and the powder puffsl having the circular body portions 70 are positioned to bear on the powder compacts 53 and 54. Next the compact is folded on the line 26 and the front face of the member 29 is positionedto bear on the rear face oi the lower portion of the body portion 20. The fact'that when the pouch is in its folded position may obviate the necessity of rubbing the powder puffs on the powder compacts, when said puffs are to be.
used.
Referring to Figs. 5 and 6 the modied pouch for toilet articles is again shown in its open or extended position. The modied pouch comprises the body portion indicated in its entirety by the numeral and is of` fabric or other lilexible material, which may be of various colors. The said body portion 80 is divided into the top circular shaped member 81, the middle circular -shaped member 82 and the lower circular shaped pocket 100v is formed between the members 81 and 90. An inner folding ap 101 has its lower edge stitched to thelower edge 91 of the member 90 by the straight stitching 102. A circular shaped mirror 105 isdetachably positioned in the pocket 100 and is held in place by the holding flap 101. Over` the middle circular shaped member 82 is indicated the iiexible inner member 108 having the straight upper edge 109 and the straight lower edge 110, and which may be of the same material and of the same color, as the body portion 80, or of a different color. A cushion member 115 having the straight upper edge 116 and the straight lower` edge 117, preferably of heavy1 material and generally ofthe same color as the body portion 80 is positioned upon the member 10S. A circular cover Y120, preferably oi Celluloid or or" other stiff material having the straight upper edge 121, the straight lower edge '122 and the circular opening 124 is'positioned overthe member 115. The members 108, 115 andthe cover 120 are stitched to each other and to the member 82, by means of the stitching 126 and 127. Ay compact pocket is formed at 130 between the member 115 and the cover 120. A concaved compact holder 132V with its powder compact 13,3
is positioned in the pocket 130 with the powder compact extending through the opening 124.
Over the member 83 is indicated the inner member 140, having the straightupper edge 141 and Straight lower vedge 142. The member 140 may be of thin flexible material of the same or different color as the member 83. A holding member 145 with the straight upperredge v1,46, and the circularopening 147 is positioned over the member 140 and f orrns a powder puff pocket 149 therewith. The member 145 is of flexible material, which may be of the same color as the member 83, or of a different color. VA powder puff having the circular body portion 152 with Vthe operating loop 153, .isY detachably positioned between the members 140 and 145. Themenlbers 83, 140 and 145 are connected by the stitching 155.
The pouch shown Vin Figs. 5 and 6 is used in a manner similarY to that described for the pouch shown in Figs. using this modied pouch it is folded on the lines 86 and 85 as described for the other form of pouch. Y
Itwill be noted that covers 42 andv 120 being of Celluloid or other similar smooth stiff material can be easily cleaned. It is rto be noted that the 1 to 4. lWhen the user finishes pouch and its various parts can be made of various iiexible materials such as leather, imitation leather, rubberized cloth, cretonne and of various other materials.
Various modifications may be made in the invention and the present exempliiication is to be taken as illustrative and not limitative thereof.
Having described my invention I claim:
1. In a pouch for toilet articles the combination of a body portion of iiexible material, a mirror holding member of flexible material having an opening and having its top and side edges fastened to the upper portion of said body portionat its inner face, said mirror holding member having itsvlower edge separated from said body portion, an linner folding iap positioned to the rear of said mirror holding memberand having its lower edge fastened to the lower edge of said mirror holding member, a mirror detachably positioned between said mirror holding member and said nap, a compact holder carrying a powder compact detachably secured to said body portion at lits face adjacent to said mirror holding member, anda powder puff detachably supported on said body portion adjacent to said compact holder and axially in line therewith, said body portion adapted to be folded to position, said powder puff upon said powder compact.
2. In a pouch for toilet articles the combination of a body portion of iiexible material, an inner member of flexible material, bearing on the inner race lof said body portion, a powder puff holding me :ber of flexible material having an open' positioned over vsaid inner member, the contours at the sides and top of both of said ,v ers fastened to said body portion, a powder puf detachably positioned between said members, tho said opening, a compact holder with a iowder compact Ydetachably supported on said body portion line with said powder puff and a mirror detach ably supported on said body portion in line with said powder puff and compact holder.
3. In a pouch fortoilet articles the combination of a body portion of flexible material, an
inner member of flexibie'inaterial bearing against lthe inner face of said body portion, a cushion member bearing on the inner member, a cover of stiff material-positioned over said cushionmember and having an opening, said inner member, cushion member and cover connected to each other and said body portion at their sides and lower portions and separated from each other at their' top portions, a compact holder with its powder compactV detachably positoned between said cushion member and cover and opposite the opening inthe latter, al mirrorand a powder puff detachably ccnnectedto'the said body portion and in line with each other. In a pouch for toilet articles the combination of a body portion of flexible material, a mirror holding member with its top edge and .side edgesy fastened to the upper-portion of said body portion at its inner face, a holding flap positionedl to the rear of the mirror holding member with its lower edge fastened to the lower edge of the mirror holding member, a mirror detachably positioned between the mirror holding memberv and said iiap, a powder pull holding member of exible material having a pair of openings, an inner member of flexible material to the rearI of said powderpuif holding member, both of the two latter members having thev top and side edges fastened to lower portion of the'pouch at its inner face, the powder puff holding membervand its accompanying inner member fastened toeach portions to form a pair of pockets, said latter inner member, cushion member and cover fastened to said body portion at its inner face at their bottom and side edges, in about the middle portion of the body portion, and a compact holder with its powder compact detachably positioned in each of the latter pockets with the powder compacts partially extending through the openings of said cover.
