This invention relates to. trays designed for holding soap in cake or block form.
The primary object of the invention is to provide a soap tray or holder, so constructed that the soap will be supported in such a manner that the soap may be readily and easily removed therefrom.
An important object of the invention is to provide a tray of this character which will support the soap in an upright position at all times, insuring a quick drying of the soap, thereby reducing Waste to a minimum.
A still further object of the invention is the provision of a' soap tray having depressed end portions providing compartments to receive the water that drains from the soap.
With the foregoing and other objects in view, which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes inthe precise embodiment of Within the scope of what is claimed, with out departing from the spirit of the invention.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of asoap tray or holder constructed in accordance with the invention.
Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view therethrough.
Figure 3 is a transverse sectional view through the tray or holder.
Referring to the drawing in detail, the holder comprises a body portion indicated generally by the reference character 5, the body portion having a bottom 6, on which the soap positioned in the tray, rests.
The base is surrounded by an upstanding flange 7 that guards the tray, and prevents the water draining from the soap from passing from the tray.
At each end of the tray, the base is inclined downwardly and laterally, providing compartments 8 into which the Water draining from the soap, passes, the water being retained in the compartments.

A soapsupporting tray comprising a body portion including a bottom, the ends of the bottom extending downwardly and laterally providing compartments at the ends of the body portion, upstanding flanges formed at the ends of'the downwardly and laterally extended portion, the upper edges of the flanges terminating at points appreciable distances above the bottom providing stops to prevent soap from being slid through the tray, and upstanding flanges on the body portion, providing compartments therebetween. 7

A soap supporting tray comprising a body portion, including a bottom, the ends of the bottom extending downwardly and laterally defining compartments to catch drainage from the bottom, flanges surrounding the bottom and preventing soap held within the tray, from sliding from the body portion, and the flanges at the cornersof the body portion being cutaway providing pouring sections.
