Description

April 4, 1933. D. H. BITNEY REENFORCE CHAIR Filed Jan. '51, 1951 INVENTOR RNEYS Patented Apr. 4, 1933 "UNITED STATES. PATENT OFFICE DEWEY H. BITNEY, OF ALBION, MICHIGAN, ASSIGNOR TO UNION STEEL PRODUCTS GOM- PANY, OF ALBION, MICHIGAN REENFORGE CHAIR Application filed January 31, 1931. Serial No. 512,550.
The main object of this invention is to prohorizontally at right angles, to the legs convide an individual reenforce chair element stitutlng feet and projecting at each side of which is very stable, even when embodied in the vertical plane of the legs. I
elements of considerable height.
Inwitness whereof I have hereunto set In Objects pertaining to details and economies hand.
of my invention will definitely appear from the description to follow. The invention is defined in the claim. I
A structure which embodies the features of my invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which:
Fig. 1 is an elevation of my improved reenforce chair looking from the left of Fig. 2.
Fig. 2 is a side view of my reenforce chair. Fig. 3 is a fragmentary view illustrating a plurality of my reenforce chairs in operative relation to a form and to the reenforce bars supported thereby.
In the accompanying drawing 1 represents a form and 2 represents reenforce bars. My
improved reenforce chair comprises a U- shaped seat member 3 adapted to receive a bar, as 2, and having downwardly diverging legs 4: terminating in U-shaped extensions 5. The lower arms 6 of these Ushaped extensions 5 are disposed horizontally and at right angles to the legs constituting feet. These arms 6 extend at each side of the vertical plane of the pair of legs 4 so that the structure is stable, even when embodied in supports of considerable height commonly lmown as reenforce high-chairs.
My improved reenforce chair may be produced very economically and is strong and as stable.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire tosecure by Letters Patent is:
A reenforce chair comprising a U-shaped 40 seat member having its arms extended into downwardly diverging legs, the seat member, arms and legs occupying substantially the same vertical plane, said legs terminating in similarly facing U-shaped extensions, the bottom arms of said extensions being disposed DEWEY H. BITNEY.
