IMPROVEMENT IN FRINGES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 188,804. dated March 27, 1877; application filed November 20, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARTIN LANDENBER- GER, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Fringes, of which the following is a specification:
- My invention relates to an improvement in that class of fringes known as tufted fringes, which are composed of numbers of tuft's secured to or forming part of pendent cords,
and the object of my invention is to so make a fringe of this character'that its tendencyto become tangled will be preventedan object attained in the manner which I will now proceed to describe, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, the figure in. which represents a portion of my improved fringe.

I claim as my invention- The combination, in a fringe, of pendent cords A, carrying tufts B, with the supplementary cords or strands D, as and for the purpose set forth.
