. 2 The present inventiontherefore has as" an object, the provision of a cross arm'hanger of universal application for the support of outdoor electrical apparatus, to any of the standard sizes of cross arms. 1
A further object of the invention-is the provision of .a cross arm hanger, which isnot only adjustable in size to permit:its use connection with any standard size cross arm or like supporting member, but which has a p 5 widefrange of adaptability-for connection with any of a great variety of electricaldevices, each of which heretofore may have been provided with its own peculiar style of mounting for association with a cross'arm or like support. 7 Further objects andadvantages of'the invention will appear from the following detailed description, considered in connection With the accompanyingdrawing of preferred embodiments of the invention. A hanger clamp for attachment to a cross arm, the clamp including a pair of separable clamping members, each of said members having a pair of face portions disposed at substantially a right angle to each other, each face portion being extended outwardly of the clamp to form a clamping lug disposed near one corner of the clamp and associated cross arm, and the clamping members being related for mutual clamped securement, through pairs of said lugs, with the paired lugs disposed substantially at diagonally opposite locations, one of said members having a reversely bent portion, projected away from its face portions, and adapted for connection to apparatus to be supported from the cross- 7 arm.
4. A universal cross arm hanger ing a pair of substantially V shaped clamping members, means for securing said members together about a cross arm, one of said members being bent away from its arm-engaging portion to form a loop portionfland holding means engaging said loop portion.
5. A cross arm hanger including a pair of angulate strap metal members arranged for securement to each other in opposed relation about a cross arm, one of said members terminating in an outwardly projecting polyge onal loop to form an extension piece, adapted for attachment to apparatus to be supportedby the cross arm and a bolt extending through said looped portion for securing said members together. A cross arm hanger including two separable clamping portions, each of said portions having a pair of faces, each face conforming substantially to one face of the cross arm to be engaged thereby, the faces of each clamping memberbeing disposed at substantially a right angle to each other, the clamp ing members being adapted forsecurement together in opposed relation to form a substantially rectangular enclosure; terminal projections associated with the clamping members and disposed at diagonally opposite corners of the hanger, and an extension disposed diagonally of the clamp for engagement with apparatus to be supported thereby,
