The operation of my device is as follows The person using the device for the first time takes the usual'spring held top from r the can of wax and replaces it with my closure top with the outlet pipe of the plug ad acent one side of the can. He then places the can in the base by putting the neck 28 of the can into the collar 13 of the partition 12 in the bottom of thecan. 'Thescrew cap 34may then be unscrewed on the threads 31 of the pipe 29, opening the port 33 any desired amount leaving the port 33'open partially or entirely open and the device is then ready for operation. The operator then takes hold of the handle and pushes and pulls the base 7 over the floor, at the-time when the base is extended from the operator the full length of the handle the operator presses down on the handle sufficient tocause the lever 22 to press on the top side of the can B. This forces the side of the can inwardly and, due to the pressure thus created inside the can, forces some i of the wax out through the'pipe 29 and the port 33 into the two openings 14 and 15 and onto the floor, but as the pad is provided with openings similar to the openings in the base A most of the wax is directed onto the surface of the floor and the pad 6 then distributes it onto the floor as it is passed back and forth there- 'over.

It'will be obvious that this'device may be used for washing and cleaning floors and for mopping floors by simply using liquid soap in a wax can or similar can and also oil, or dressings for floors may be easily and quickly applied to the floors with this device. The de vice may be used by the housewife as a dust mop when no oilis desired on the floors.

Having thus described my invention'I deslre to securebv Letters Patent and claim:

1. In f a device of the class described the combination of. a base; means'to hold a wax said can having a port therethrough; a cap to control the flow of the fluid through said port; openings through said base to allow fluids to pass therethrough; a semi-partition across the bottom of said base to hold the neck of said can; a pad for .said base covering the ends and the bottom thereof having openings therethrough in alignment with'the openings in said base; spring wires to hold said pad to said base and a handle for said base made up of two legs secured to a single handle with a central lever between said legs to contact the top side of the wax can when the handle is lowered by the operator to force the fluid therefrom.

'2. In a device of the class describedthe comsaid base between said partition and the near end of said base; acan-containing fluids to be lnserted into said base with the neck of the can to fitin said semi-circularcollar; a closure top for said can having a pipe leading .therethrough, with the inner end of the'pipe curved toward the side wall of said can and having the outer endthreaded'to receive a cap; a cap to be screwed over said pipe,

adapted to close said pipe as desired; a port through the side of said cap and a bifurcated handle pivoted tosaid base having a lever between the legs of said handle to engage the 7 side of said can when'the handle is lowered.

having a pipe passed through said perforation and secured in said lid with the inner end of said cap turned down toward one side of the can; a cap tobe screwed onto the. end of said pipe to control the flow therethrough, said cap having a port through one side thereof to be opened or closed by screwing the cap in or out on the pipe; means to hold said can in a waxing device; and means to press the side of said can to force wax therefrom.

5.
