IMPROVEMENT IN C'RADLES- Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 187,426, dated February 13, 1877; application filed June 11,. 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CARL OTTo SOBINSKI, of St. Louis, in the county of St. Louis and State of Missouri, have invented an Improved Locking Device for Cradles, of which the following is a specification:
This invention relates to an improved locking device to secure the cradle proper stationary.
The drawing is an end elevation, showing my improved locking device.
A is the straight rocker of the cradle proper. A are the legs, formed to have a curved rock er, B. Upon the rocker B the cradle is supported to oscillate as follows: I secure to the rocker B a plate, at, having a U-shaped groove, on; also a V-groove, as shown in the figure. To the cradle part A I also secure a plate, b, carrying a projecting pin, b and having, further, a knife-edge, b, as shown in Fig. 1. The pin b travels in the U -groove a, and the knife-edge 12 engages the 'V-bearing when said parts are mounted to operate, as shown in the figure.
