Improvement in Harness-Fastenings, of which the-following is a specification Figure l is an inside view of a part of a tug and haine-tug to which my improved Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same. Fig. 3 represents a key for fastening and unfastening the fastener.

The object of this invention is to furnish an improved fastener or buckle for fastening together the straps of the various parts of a harness, to avoid sewing and the use of ordinary buckles, enabling a harness to be made much cheaper, to be more easily repaired, and to be readily taken upand let out. i
The invention will first be described in connection with the drawing, and then pointed out in the claim.
The fastener is made in two parts, AB, each of which consists of a circular disk, convex upon the outer side, and fiat upon the inner side, provided with a stem. The stem a of the part A is made hollow, and has a screw-thread cut in its inner surface. The
stem b of the part B is made solid, and has a screw-thread out upon it, fitting into the screw-thread of the stem a). The stem a of the part A is passed through holes in the straps to be connected, and the stem l) of the partB is screwed into it, clamping the said straps securely together. The part B has two holes formed in it, to receive the forked end of a key for convenience in turning it in and out. The stem a. should be made of a length about equal to the thickness of the straps to be connected; but the stem b may be made shorter. I interpose the plate 0 between the straps that are to be held together, the same being provided with loops 0, through which pass other straps, and I also employ the loop a on the disk A. i
What I claim is- A harness attachment consisting of the disk A, having internally-threaded stein a and loop a and the disk B, having screw stem b, in combination with the intermediate plate (J, provided with loops 0, all arranged as shown 'and described, for the purpose specified;
