The invention relates to an accessory for the toe of all football and soccer shoes, made of some suitable material such as canvas upon which layers of rubber, rubberizedor water proof materials are attached or adhered, said layers of rubber, rubberized or waterproof materials being detachable one at a time, thereby affording a dry surface as each layer is removed," and the objects of the football overshoe are, first, to provide a clean, dry surface for kicking or punting in rainy weather; second, to eliminate the usual time out for changing or cleaning the shoe when getting ready for a kick or punt; and, third, to eliminate the chance element or rather the possibility of a poor kick or punt due to a Wet and muddy shoe in contact with a slippery ball.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings by Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Figurel is a side view of .the overshoe in place. The ring 1 is the loop through which the shoe strings or lacings are passed to fasten the top of the overshoe firmly to the football shoe.
Figure 2 is a bottom View of the overshoe in place. Elastic 2 holds the overshoetaut over the bottom of the football shoe. 3 provide openings for the cleats 4.

We claim:
A football accessory comprising a protector for coveringthe toe portion of the shoe to which it is to be attached, means carried by the protector for holding it in engagement with the shoe, and a plurality of easily detachable layers of waterproof material on the toe portion of the protector.
