IMPROVEMENT IN CIGAR-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 183,570, dated October 24,1876; application filed September 30. 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN HUTToN, of the city, county, and State of New York, haveinvented a new and Improved Cigar-Holder, of
which the following is a specification:
The object of this invention is to construct a skeleton holder for cigars, which will. effectually protect the cigar end from contact with the teeth and allow the lips to be in contact with the cigar, thus allowing the smoker to get the full flavor of the cigar, which cannot pos-- an inch, each of whose extremities has a semicircular piece, 0 G, which gripe the cigar.
It will here be observed that the cigar, as shown in dolted lines, has its point out off square,'so as to fit flush against the face of A, but not into it. The arms B B have sufficient spring to allow them to receive cigars of all sizes, and hold the same secure with the aid of the semicircular clips 0 O.
The above-described invention is to be constructed in one piece of hard rubber or other suitable tasteless material.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- A skeleton holder for cigars,consisting of the mouth-piece A, in combination with the spring-arms B B and semicircular clips G G, for the uses and purposes herein set forth, shown, and described.
