Description
1931- 1. BAMBERGER FLASH LIGHT CARTRIDGE Filed March 18, 1931 Patented Nov. 24, 1931 PATENT OFFICE ISAC BAMIBERGER, OF BAD KISSIN'GEN, GERMANY FLASH-LIGHT CARTRIDGE Application filed March 18, 1931, Serial No. 523,421, and in Germany March 14, 1930.
This invention relates to a flash-light cartridge and consists in the provision of a flashlight powder container having an hermetically sealed, conical cover of celluloid or other inflammable material to the apex of which a strip of touch paper or celluloid is connected, said strip projecting into the container as well as in outward direction for the ignition of the powder.
Fig. l of the accompanying drawings represents a sectional View of the cartridge with detached cover, and i Fig. 2 is a side View of the complete arrangement. V
The cartridge comprises a container e which is charged with flash-light powder f and which is formed with a flanged rim (:3 to which a conical cover 6 is hermetically sealed. The cover is made of celluloid or other inflammable material and carries at its apex a strip of touch paper, celluloid or the like.
One portion a of this strip projects in outward direction, and another portion a projects into the container for the ignition of the powder f. A highly inflammable tip 0 may be connected to the outer end of the strip for facilitating the firing of the charge.
The cartridge is suspended by means of a bracket 9 on a suitable support. On the strip a being ignited, the fire first spreads to and destroys the cover I) and is then led by the strip portion a to the powder for the ignition of the latter.
I claim:
1. A flash-light cartridge comprisingma flash-light powder container, a conical, inflammable, hermetically sealed cover for said container, and an easily combustible strip connected to the apex of said cover and projecting therefrom into the container as well as in outward direction.
2. A flash-light cartridge comprising a flash-light powder container, a conical, hermetically sealed celluloid cover for said container, and a celluloid strip connected to the apex of the cover and projecting therefrom into the container as well as in outward direction.
3. A flash-light cartridge comprising a 50 flash-light powder container, a conical, hermetically sealed celluloid cover for said container, and a touch paper strip connected to
