This invention relates more especially to that type of electrical attachment plugs that are applied to an end of flexible current carrying cord, and in the body or housing of whlch is arranged a pair of terminal clips adapted to engage a pair of jacks or terminal posts of a portable electrical appliance, such as an electrically heated sad-iron. And this improvement has for its object:
To provide a structural formation and combination of parts in the jack engaging clips of such attachment, adapted to provide a very effective contact between the clip and the jack is primarily effected and maintained regardless of the irregular contraction and expansion of parts, and by means of which an undue separation of the associated members of the clip is effectively resisted under accidental side stresses in the application and disengagement of the attachment plug, all as will hereinafter more fully appear.

open at one end and at the other end converge into a central channel 6, which contains one end portionof the usual flexible cord 7 which carries the electric supply and return wires of the respective terminal clips contained in the aforesaid channels 4;, 5.
In this invention the pair of terminal clips above referred to, are formed ofplate metal, with each clip comprising two interengaging members 8 and 9 of an elongated form having registering orifices 10 at one end by which they are held in place in their containing channels 4, 5 aforesaid.
Each of the terminal clip members 8 and 9, of the elongated strip form above mentioned, is formed with a series of rectangular and transversely extending openings 11 and with a series of bars or strips 12, intermediate of said openings. Said bars or strips 12 are deflected into an arch form, preferably of a semicircular outline as shown.
In this improvement the openings 11 and arched strips 12 of one clip member are disposed in staggered relation to the corresponding openings and arched strips of the other member, and as so formed the series of arched strips of one member is adapted, in an assemblage of a terminal clip, to pass through the adjacent openings of the other clip member.
As so assembled a longitudinal passage is provided in the terminal clip with such passage, preferably of a circular form, adapted to receive and have extended conducting contact with the shank of one of the pair of jacks or terminal posts 13 usual to electric sad-irons and like electrically heated articles.
In the present structure the flat and un- 01) broken side or mar inal portions 14 of the respective clip mem ers 8, 9, are adapted to contact With and abut against each other and thus effectively resist any tendency to undue separation of the clip members under accidental or abnormal side stress in the application or the removal of the attachment plug which has been a serious liability in some of the attachments ot' the present type now on the market.
hat I claim as my invention is:
1. In an attachment plug of the type described, a terminal clip comprising a pair of counterpart members of plate metal in the form of elongated strips, each member being formed with a series of alternating transverse openings and arch shapedbars, with the bars of one member passing through the adjacent openings of the companion memher, said arch shaped bars providing a receiving passage for a terminal jack, and means for holdingthe component parts of the plug together.
2. In an attachment plug of the type described, a terminal clip comprising a pair of counterpart members of plate metal in the form of elongated strips, each member being formed with a series of alternating transverse openings and arch shaped bars of a semi-circular form, with the bars of one member passing through the adjacent openings of the companion member, said arch shaped bars providing a receiving passage for a terminal jack, and means for holding the component parts of the plug together.
