"This 'invention' rel'ates to a dispenser" for material of a j elly-like'nature', such as jelly soap. More specifically,-itfappertains to a dispenser operable by a person to .deliver' a predetermined quantity of soap.

It is the primary object of this invention to provide a manually operable-dispenser which is manually operable and maybe actuated'to i V deliver the'dispensed soap tothe palm of the hand of the operator. Another object of this invention is to provide a dispenser operable bytwisting an actuating memberto a degree such that a desired amount of soap is dellvered, the greater the amount actuator is turned;

A soap dispenser for a jelly like charge comprising a reservoir shell with a rotatable bottom section adapted to be gripped and to overlie the palm of the hand said shell having atapered lower end, a discharge opening in said bottom section, a. scraping flight fixed to said bottom section and ranging from said discharge opening upwardly and forwardly in the direction of rotation along the tapered wall of said shell whereby to scrape the material to be dispensed and direct it toward the A opening, a follower plate resting on the charge of material in said dispenser, and 1 means urging said follower against said charge to cause said charge to be advanced toward the bottom of said dispenser.

A soap dispenser for a jelly like charge comprising a reservoir shell with a rotatable bottom section adaptedto be gripped'and to overlie thepalm of the hand, said shell hav ing a tapered lower end, a discharge opening in'said bottom section, a scraping flight fixed to said bottom section and ranging from said discharge opening upwardly and forwardly in the direction of rotation along the tapered wall of said shell whereby to scrape the material to be dispensed and direct it toward the opening, a follower plate resting on the charge of material in said dispenser, means urging said follower against said charge to cause said charge to be advanced toward the bottom of said dispenser, and meansto restrain the charge against rotation-with the bottom section.
