Be it known that I, GOlTLlEB D. HUSE- MANN, of Alton, in the county of Madison, State of Illinois, have invented certain Improvements in Garpet-Stretchers,ot' which the following is a specification:
The nature and ohjectof my invention are to stretch carpets when the same are to be put down for use.
Mode of using: The stretcher is put under the carpet.
A is the lever and grabbing-iron. hold-last attached to the lever. Mode of operation: When ,the carpet is tacked down on one side of the room or hall, the stretcher is put under the carpet on the B is the oppositeside. By putting the hand on the GOTTLIEB D. 'HUSE MANN. [L.'S.j
