INVENTOR A AITORNEY Patented Feb. 10, 1931 UNITED: STATES PATENT: OFFICE LOUIS TARTAZ, on NEW YORK, 1v. Y. 7
' runsnn-nonnnn ATTACHMENT Application filed J'anuary 18, 1939., Serial No.'421,806.
The object of my invention is to providea simple, practical and inexpensive contrivance to be attached to an ordmary Bunsen burner for performing operations'needful tion comprises a funnel-shaped gas cham-' her, the nipple of which is set onto the nozzle of a Bunsen burner, and the top of which is closed and sealed by a cap member which is provided with orifices around its inner wall to produce a series of radially, inwardly horizontal flames guided by deflector lugs 2 onto a platform centrally positioned, whereon is placed the dental investment or article to be heated The wax, if there be any as a component of the article heated, when molten by the heat of the flames, flows off said platform in sluices therein provided into a trough in said cap member, and is drained ofl through a pipe connected with said trough.
In the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this application, similar characters of reference indicate corres ondin arts in p g p '4. In an attachment ofthe character dea all the views. i
Figure 1, show-s my invention attached to a Bunsen burner.
Figure 2, is a top viewof my present invention. 1 y
Figure 3, is a vertical;cross-section of my invention, at line 3-3 inFigure 2.
Referring to the drawings, 4 is a'sheets metal or cast, circular funnel-shaped gas chamber, the nipple 5 of which sets onto nozzle 6 of a Bunsen burner 7, and the top of which is closed and sealed by cap member 8. Cap member 8 is shaped so as to form and include a vertical wall 9, a trough 10,
and a horizontal platform '11. Wall 9 is provided with a series of equidistant, radialdischarging orifices 12, each'of which ori- 1 oes is provided with a deflector'lug 13.
Platform 11 is provided with a series of sluices 14. To trough 10 is connected a drain pipe 15, i
I claim V 1. In an attachment of the character described, a gas chamber adapted to set onto the nozzle of a Bunsen burner, a cap member securely sealing said chamber, being comprlsed ofa platform; and a wall forming a troughtherebetween, said wall being spaced from said chamber, and having a series of radially, horizontally discharging orifices."
2 In an attachment of the character de scribed, a funnel-shaped gas chamber, the
nipplev of which is adapted tovset onto the nozzle of a Bunsen burner, a cap member securely sealing said chamber, being comprised of aplatf orm' and a vertical wall forming a trough therebetween,- said wallv being spaced from said gas chamber and having a V series of radially, horizontally discharging orifices. I
3. In an attachment of the character described, a funnel-shaped gas chamber, the
nipple of'which is adapted to set onto the nozzle of a Bunsen burner, a cap member securely sealing said gas chamber, being comprised of a platform and a vertical wall forming a trough therebetween, said platform having sluices and said wall being spaced from said gas chamber and having a series of radially, horizontally discharging orifices.
scribed, f a funnel-shaped gas chamber, the nipple of'which is adapted toset onto'the nozzle'of a Bunsen burner, a'cap' member securely sealing said gas chamber, beingcomprised of a platform and a vertical wall forming a trough therebetween, a drain pipe connected to said trough, said platform having sluices, and said wall being spaced from said nozzle of a Bunsen burner, a cap member securely sealing said gas chamber, being comprised of a platform and a vertical Wall form ing a trough therebetween, a drain pipe connected to said trough, said platform having sluices, and said Wall being spaced from said gas chamber and having a series of radially, horizontally discharging orifices, and flame deflector lugs protuding from said Wall, one over each of said orifices.
6. In an attachment of the character described, a funnel-shaped gas chamber, the nipple of which is adapted to set onto-the nozzle of a Bunsen burner, a cap member securely sealing said gas chamber, being"com prised of a platform and a vertical wall forming a trough"therebetween, said platform having sluices, and said Wall being spaced from the' gas chamber andhaving a'seriesof With a series of radially. horizontally discharging orifices, and flame deflector lugs protruding from said Wall, one over each of said orifices.
In Witness whereof, I aflix my signature. LOUIS TARTAZ.
