The combination vest and trouser supporter consists of a vest 10 having a lining 11 consisting of a pair of chest portion lining sections 12 and a back portion lining section 13,` and each of said chest portion lining sections comprising an outer sheet 14 secured to an'inner sheet 15, and straps 16 between said outer and inner sheets and attached at their upper ends 17 to the lining in the vicinity' of the shoulders 18 of the vest and eX- tending thru slots 19 in the inner sheets 14 substantially midway between the shoulders and the bottom of the vest and the vertical edges 20 of the chest portions and terminating at their freeends 21 in means for supporting a pair of trousers.

The vest 10 is of conventional design and construction and opened at the front. One ofthe edges of the opening is provided with buttons 22 engageable in button holes 23 in the other edge for closing the vest. The vest 1,0 is also provided with pockets 24 constructed in ordinary fashion. In Figs. 2 to 5 inclusive, a detail has been shown of one of the chest portion lining sections. This detail particularly brings out that the outer and inner sheets 14 and 15 respectively are secured together by stitches 25 along the edges and extending from the front edge of the lining section up across the shoulder portion and then downwards part of the way along the back portion. Having'thus described my invention, what I claim'as new, and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent isz-j- Y f -1 I ALA i combinationv vest and ytrouser supporter, comprising 1a v"vest having va lining consisting of a pair of chest portion lining sections and aback portion lining section, and eachfofsaid chest portion lining sections comprising outer and "inner f sheets `secured together, straps between saidy inner and outer sheets and attached 'attheir top ends to the lining in the vicinity of the shoulders of the vest and' extending thru slots infthef inner sheetssubstantially attheir centers and ter# minating at their 'free ends inmeansfforsupporting a pair of trousers, and means for transmitting tension from said supporting straps to the lining for urging different porconsisting of a pair of chest portion linin sections and a back portion lining section, an each of said chest portion lining sections comprising outer and inner sheets secured together, straps between said inner and outer sheets and attached at their top ends to the lining in the vicinity of the shoulders of the Vest and extending thru slots in the inner sheets substantially at their centers and terminating at their free vends in means for supporting a pair of trousers, and means for transmitting tension from said supporting straps to the lining for urging different portions of thelining against a wearer of the device to change its feel on the person and consequently its comfort, comprising snap fastener elements attached upon the straps and engageable with complementary snap fastener elements attached upon the lining.

A combination vest and trouser supy porter7 comprising a vest having a lining consisting of a pair of. chest portion lining sections and a back portion lining section, and each of said chest portion lining sections Y comprising outer and inner sheets secured together, straps between said inner and outer sheets and attached at their top ends to the lining inthe vicinityof the shoulders of the vest and extending thru slots in the inner sheets substantially at their centers and terminating at their free ends in means for supporting a pair of trousers, and means for v transmittingr tension from said supporting straps to the lining for urging different portions of the lining against a wearer of the device to change its feel on. the person and cont sequentlyv its comfort, comprising snap fasf n tener elements attached upon the straps and engageable with complementary snap fastener elements attached upon the lining, the ends of said slots and the points of suspension of said straps limiting the possible angular positions of said straps.
