My invention relates to a new and useful improvement in a water power wheel and has for its object the provision of a device adapted for mounting below the surface of flowing water and rotatable upon the contact of the flowing water there against so as to operate mechanism attached thereto.
It is another object of the invention to provide a breakwater in connecting with a rotatable water driven Wheel which will serve to establish, in co-operation with the flowing water, an eddy or quiet section of water so that the water at one side of the breakwater engaging the rotatable member will effect its rotation.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a deflecting member for deflecting the flowing water against the rotatable water driven wheel at one side.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a device of this kind so constructed and arranged as to be economical in its manufacture, durable and efflcient in its use,and easily and quickly installed for operation.
Other objects will appear hereinafter.
The invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

In the drawings I have illustrated the invention mounted in a river or other body of water which is moving in the direction indicated by the arrows in Fig. 1. By mounting the wheel in horizontal position below the-normal low waterflevel of the river there is thus provided a water wheel which may be operative at alltimes regardlessof the condition of the river. Also by mounting the mechanism below thesurface v I of the Water damage thereto by flowing debris will be prevented. There is thus provided a mechanism whereby the power'ofr the flowing water may be utilized for var? ouspurposesand-a device particularly adaptable for use on farmsand' the like. 7
