This invention relates to hinges, it more particularly relating to acomloined hinge for the innerfand outer topsof metallic caskets.-
The object of this invention is toprovide a combined hinge for Vtwo hinged members of a character which will permit either'o-ne of the members to be removed` without the ne-V cessity of the removal ofV screws, pintles, orl other fastening devices.
, A further object of the. invention is toprovide a hinge which will be simplein construc-V tion, economical in manufacture and effective for the vpurpose for which it is designed.

The portions 21' and 22 at their juncture are cut away so as to form an opening 23 slightly larger thanthewidth of the tongue 18, apart of this opening being located in the vertical portion 21 and a part in the hori# zontall portion 22. To place the inner lid upon the hinge, the lid is merely held in horizontal position and the Yapertured portion of the plate20 threaded upon the tongue 18. .A
Y As afore stated, the outer lid 4 is hinged on the tongue V15` and to that end the lower horizontal flange of the outer lid is bent to Vform a pocket 24 and at the outer end of the pocket the plate is punched to form a slotted opening 25 to receive the tongue 15. VWhen' the outer lid 4 is raised, the inner wall of this opening 25 rides, in the recessed portion 16 which forms a bearing therefor. When it is desired-to` remove `the outer lid 4, it must Y be raised to an incline of 45 degrees to per@ Vmit the walls of the opening 25 to clear the intermediate curved portion of the tongue 15. v
