A filling drawing-in preventer for looms comprising a shuttle box having a re cess in one side wall, a plate movably mounted in the recess and forming a portion of said wall, and means to move said plate forward the rear wall of the recess thereby enlarging the shuttle box upon the transfer of a fresh bobbin from the magazine into a shuttle in the shuttle box.

A filling drawing-in preventer for looms comprising a shuttle box having a recess in one side wall, a plate movably mounted in the recess, means tending to keep the a plate in a position flush with the working face of the side of the shuttle box, and means to move said plate out of said position into the recess upon the transfer of a fresh bobbin from a magazine into a shuttle in the shuttle box.

5. A filling drawing-in preventer for looms comprising a shuttle box, a movable plate which forms a part of the shuttle box,
a projection carried by the said plate, a pivoted member on the shuttle box and engaging the projection, and an actuating finger carried by a portion of a loom and engaging the pivoted member to move the plate outwardly upon the transfer of a fresh bobbin from a magazine into a shuttle in the shuttle box.
6. In a device of the character described, a member forming one side of the shuttle box and having a recess therein, a plate hinged in the recess, and a lever pivoted upon a wall of the recess and having engagement with the plate for moving it upon said hinge.
7 In a device of the character described, a member forming one side of a shuttle box and having a recess therein, a plate hinged in said recess, a projection on the plate, a spring fitted between a wall of the recess and said plate tending to press the plate out of the recess, a stop on the plate engaging a portion of the said member limiting the action of the spring and keeping the plate flush with the working face of the member, and a lever pivoted on said member and engaging said projection and being capable of moving the plate upon its hinge against the action of the spring.
8. In a device of the character described, a member forming one side of a shuttle box and having bearing bosses and a connecting M with the plate to move the same upon its hinge mounting.

In a device of the character described, a member forming one side of a shuttle box and having bearing bosses and a connecting wall defining a recess, said member having a groove from one end to an adjoining hearing boss, a movable plate situated in the recess, and a pin introduced through said groove into the bearing bosses and through portions of the plate to provide a hinge mounting.

In a device of the character described, a member forming one side wall of a shuttle box and having bearing bosses and a connecting wall defining a recess, said member having a groove from one end to an adjacent bearing boss, a movable plate situated in the recess, a pin introduced into the plate and bearing bosses through said groove, and
a facing applied to the member and plate and carried around the ends of the member to close the groove and prevent the pin from working out.
11. In a device of the character described,
a member forming one side of a shuttle box Y and having a recess, a plate movably mounted in the recess, a facing applied to the working face of the member and plate, said facing being cut at points adjoining the ends of the plate and ends of the recess, and means by which the facing is attached to the extremities of the member and at said out points, permitting yielding of a portion of the facing when said plate is moved.
