The presentinventionpertains to new and the type employinga detachable pin. The invention relates moreparticularly to securing means whereby the pin member will be retained on'the clevis against accidental disengagement, yet possessing means whereby the pin'may be easily disengaged from the clevis when desired.
The prime object of the invention resides. in the provision of a in member for clevises having means'where y the pin will be pre-; vented from rotation, and wherein additional means is provided for retaining the pin in position against accidental displacement. d
An additional object of importance resides in the provision whereby the pin is retained in position, yet being capable of quick adjustment to permitthe removal of the pini;
After considering the follo-wingzspecification and claim other important objects and advantages of the inventionwill become apparent.
In the drawing:
Figure 1 is ajside elevation of the improved 7 I the clevis head 1, it is only necessary that a screw driver useful improvements inclevis structuresof or similar tool-be inserted under the leaf to a, 5

- Having thusdescribedthe invention, what 'Iclaimas new and desireto secure by Letters Patent is Y r I p I g e v In a clevis formed with an opening in one arranged through said opening, theother leg being-formed with a'recess extending inwardclevissnugly engag'eable within said recess for tensionally retaining the pin, Intestimony whereof I afiix my signature. v 1 V JOHN IAGHATZ.
e so tures is formed with an opening adjacent each end thereof. An opening 2 is formed through one leg of the body 1 slightly inward ly'from the openingand the endthereof';
A pin 3 is adapted to be arranged through the openings at the ends of the body 1 and is provided with a'laterally disposed head 4 at one end thereof. The head 4 is formed with a recess Sextending inwardlyfrom its'free end while a depending tit 6 is provided at the under side of the head 4 and for engagement withinthe opening 2; 1
A spring leaf 7 provided with one end-portion reduced, While its opposite end is pivotp ally secured to the U-shaped body 1 by a rivet 8. The reduced end-of the leaf 7 is engageable within the recess 5 of the head 4:.
Inforder to disengage the leaf 7 fromthe e'nd,an L-shaped member having one. leg
