This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in spotting table to be used in connection with the cleaning of garments, such as the removal of spots from silk I or other garments and' has for one of its objects to provide a board-or table mounted upon a stand and horizontally disposed with the table mounted for rotary movement upon fa horizontal axis to present either side thereof for use.

A further object of the invention is to 'provide a spotting table of the above type having a rack or tray disposed beneath the spotting 'table to support the overhanging portions of a garment andprevent dragging of the garment upon the floor, the `spotting table and rack being mounted for limited horizontal swinging movement with lthe relative positions thereof remaining constant.

A further obj ect of the invention is to pro vide a spotting table' of the character above described in combination with a steam heated sleeve or puff iron that is im erforated and which may be employed for' ryingV different portions of the garment thathave been treated for spot removal and is also capable of use in drying or removing the wrinkles in either the body or sleeve of a garment being cleaned. p l

With the above and other objects in view that will become apparent as the nature' of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the novel form, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described,shown in the accompanyingdrawings and claimed.

The frame structure supporting the spotting table comprises vertical standards 1 to the upper ends of which a cross head 2 is connected, the lower ends of thel vertical standards `1 being suitably anchored tothe 55 floor 3cr other support.4 The vertical post 4.is rotatably mounted at its lower endin the floor plate 5 while the upper end of the post 4 is rotatable in thebearing collarV 6 projecting laterally from the plate 7 that is 70 anchored as at 8 to the upper side of the head 2, rotary movement of the post 4 being controlled by the set screw 9 threaded through the bearing collar 6 and adapted for holding the post 4 in its rotatablyadjusted position. 75

A s otting table 10 is carried by the upper end o the post 4 and the mounting thereof includes a stud bearing 11 having one end 12 set into a side opening in the upper end of the post 4 and retained therein by the screw 80 bolt 13the outer end of the stud bearing 11 being reduced and threaded as at 14 for purposes presently to appear. The inner end of the spotting table 10 is provided with a central opening 15 and the outer end of said 85 opening is spanned by a bearing collar 16 rotatab y mounted upon the stud bearing 11. The upper and lowersides of the 4stud bearing 11 are provided with sockets 17 selectively to receive the head 18 ofa tensioned 90 pin 19 carried b the bearing collar 16 and i operable by the ger'piece 20 for removing the pin head 18 from one of the sockets 17 when it is desired to reverse the spotting table 10 vso thateither side of the spotting table 95 may be upwardly disposed. `The tensioned pin 19 securely anchors the s otting table in its'adjusted position. A fa ric apron or boot 21 incloses the spotting table 10 with the' open'inner end thereof provided with a. tie 100 sol cord 22 for anchoring the boot to the table, the boot ,being removable for olea-ning, and replacement.

From the above detailed description, it is believed that the construction and operation of the invention will at once ,be understood, and While there'is herein shown and described the .preferred embodiment of the present invention, it-is nevertheless to be understood that minor changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.
