This invention relates to a rider for registration cards, which is securely mounted on the latter insuch a manner, that it cannot slide upwardly, downwardly or laterally.
One mode of carrying out the present invention is illustrated by way of example on the accompanying sheet of drawings in which Fig. 1 shows a part of a registration card with the rider applied thereto, and
Fig. 2 is a sectional View, the section being taken on line AA of Fig. 1.
The rider consists of a sheet-metal'strip which is bent upon itself so as to provide two arms of difierent lengths. In the illustrated embodiment the corners of the long arm a are cut off, while the short arm I) is provided with an inwardly bent projection a. It is of importance that the distance of this projection from the bend of the sheetmetal strip correspond, to the distance of slits from the edge of the card 2', the said slits being provided' in the latter and extending parallel to the said edge.
As shown in Fig. 2, the rider is firmly mounted on the card, because the bend of the rider finds a secure hold in the slit (1 of the card 2', while the inward projection o rests on the edge of the said card. p
As illustrated in Fig, 1, the registration cards are provided with a number of slits d, e, f, g and k, which are spaced from the edge of the card i just the same distance as the projection is from the bend of the rider. The latter can be readily passed through the slit, because the corners of the long arm a of the rider are out off.
The rider may be made of any desired material of suflicient elasticity and the two arms may be of equal lengths. Instead of providing the rider with a projection as shown in the drawings, the same may be furnished with punch-marks, projections or the like, or a wire-clip forming the rider may be provided with bends, which enable the rider to reston the edge'of the card.
