This invention relates to a fabric strip is an end view oftlie plural pocket strip and mounting. a r locking member therefor shown in Fig. 5, and The chief object of the invention is to proillustrating a second form of'pocket. I vide a mounting-for a fabric strip which in- In the drav'vings 10 indicates a fabric strip 5 sures a substantially uniform stress upon and 11 indicates a supporttherefor having a '55 each portion of the fabric throughout its longitudinal groove 12 positioned therein Width and thus permits a lighter weight with the mouth 13 narrower thanthe interior I fabric to be employed Where heretofore of the groove, and said mouth terminates in heavier weights were required by reason of ;the periphery ofthe support 11. , Fig. 3 is an end View of a modified'form there? the saving is considerable and the certainty of anchorage is increased many fold.
In order to permit the-slack to be taken up or to secure the desired tension in the 5 fabric, a plurality of pockets is provided instead of the single pocket means shown in Figs. 1 to 3 inclusive.
In Fig.4 the stripillQ is shown-doubled back uponitself for a considerable distance forming a plurality of pockets 114 by'reason of the parallel sewings1l5, thereby forming. parallel pockets in the end of the strip, any one of which is adapted to receive the locking member. s w p 7 In Figs. 5 and 6 a different type of multiple pocket is illustrated, and this is formed by doubling the strip v210 back upon itself forming individual pockets 214- secured to T the strip by the sewings 215 any one ;of the pockets 214 being adapted to receive the lock ingmember216. 5 illustrates all of the pockets and locking meinber receivable by the grooved support andanchored there to.
- The invention claimed is: h
' V 1. In aconstruction of the character described, the combination of anelongated support havinga narrow mouthed groove eX- tending longitudinally thereof, said. groove 7 being widened beyond the mouth, a strip, a
plurality of parallel positioned longitudinally extending loops formed near one end of thestrip, at least one loopofwhich is nestingly receivable by said groove, said groove being of suflicient size to receive any orall of the loops'and connecting strip portions, and a locking member positionable within one of the loops positioned within the groove and longitudinally receivable by 40 =saidgroove and having asuitable conformation preventing lateral escapement therefrom. I g I 2. A device as defined hyclaim .1 charac-. terized by the strip loops being formed by end of the strip being doubledand connected together to'form said loops,'-sa id groove being substantially wedge shaped in cross sectional outline with thepoint and mouth of the groove substantially coinciding, vand said looking memberbeing substantially cylindrical andwedgingly engaging opposite sides 7 of the groove adjacent the mouth thereof for strip anchorage. f e
