IMPROVEMENT IN CARD-SUSPENDING RING'S.
Specification forming part of Leiters Patent No. 175,723, dated April 4, 1876; application tiled May 6, 1875.
- resting in a long horizontal base having fastening-lu gs cut and swaged from between its raised borders, in a plane parallel with the sides thereof; and has for its object the hanging of cards, pictures, and other articles, and the -bracing of them, while hung, in a manner to prevent the buckling of their center.

base B is provided with the ribs or raised borders c o to give it strength, aud these may be gured, to serve an ornamental purpose as Well.
The manner in which the device is used is as follows: The lugs b b are forced through the article to be suspended from its front side, and near enough to its upper edge to admit of the ringA extending above the top of the same. The lugs b b are then bent down on the other side of the article, so as to clamp it between 4them and the base B, as shown in Fig. 2, which represents a back View of the device, .D representing the suspended article.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
As an improved article of manufacture, my above-described suspending device, stamped from a single piece of sheet metal, having its fastening-lugs b b cut and swaged from between its raised borders or ribs in a plane parallel with the sides thereof, and constructed iu other respects substantially as herein set forth and described, for the purposes specied.
