This invention relates to a buoyant bathingdevice and has for its prime object to provide means whereby an inner tube may be used conveniently and safely by bathers particularly small children.

Another very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a device which may be attached over an automobile inner tube or the like and rolled up when the 0 inner tube or the like is deflated so as to form a small compact bundle which may be easily carried or stored away.

Another very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a device of this nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, inexpensive to manufacture, thoroughly efficient and relia-lolein use and otherwise well adapted to the purpose for which it is designed.

With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.

Referring to the drawings in detail it will be seen that the numeral 5 denotes a sheet of suitable material such as canvas of circular construction having a plurality of triangular tabs 6 radiating integrally from the periphery thereof.

In the apexes of the tabs 6 there are formed buttonholes 7 to engage over buttons 8 mounted in a circular arrangement on the sheet 5 so that an inner tube or other inflatable tubes 9 may be held in place as is clearly illustrated. The sheet 5 is provided with a pair of leg openings 10.

It is thought that the construction of the device is quite apparent without any more detail description thereof. In using the device a child will place his or her legs through the opening 10 and thereby safely play about in the Water and particularly deep water. Of course the device may be used both by 5 young and old.

The present embodiment of the invention has been disclosed in considerable detail merely for the purpose of exemplification since in actual practice it embodies the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description. It will be apparent that changes in the details of construction, in the sizes, in the materials, and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is:

1. In combination, a circular sheet of mate rial having a pair of openings and a plurality of triangular tabs extending outwardly from the periphery thereof, and an inner tube over which the tabs are adapted to be folded, and means for fastening the apexes of the tabs to the sheet.

2. A device of the character described comprising an annular buoyant body, a sheet of flexible material stretched across the annulus, said sheet being of circular configuration and having a plurality of triangular tabs extending outwardly from the periphery thereof, said tabs adapted to be folded over said annular body, an annular series of retaining elements carried by said circular sheet said retaining elements being arranged on the sheet within the area of the sheet defined by said annular body, and said tabs and the apices thereof having openings formed therein through which said retaining elements extend for retaining said annular body and sheets in assembled relation.

3. A device of the character described comprising an annular buoyant body, a sheet of flexible material stretched across the annulus, said sheet bein of circular configuration and having a plura ity of triangular tabs extending outwardly from the periphery thereof,

said tabs adapted to be folded Over said annular body, an annular series of retaining elements carried by said circular sheet said retaining elements being arranged on the sheet within the area'of the sheet defined by said annular body, and said tabs and the apices thereof having openings formed therein through which said retaining elements eX- tend for retaining said annular body and sheet in assembled relation, and said circular sheet Within the confines of said annular body having a pair of spaced leg receiving openings formed therein.
