Description

M. v. TAG'GART.
, BREAD AND PASTRY BOARD. No.17h027. Patented Feb. 2&1876.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MARTIN V. TAGGARI, OF MANSFIELD, OHIO.
IMPROVEMENT IN BREAD AND PASTRY BOARDS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 174,027, dated February 22, 1876; application filed January 7, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, M. V. TAGGART, of Mansfield, in the county of Richland and in the State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Dough-Trays; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, andexact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification.
The nature of my intention consists in the of side pieces B B, and a horizontal top, 0,
is supported upon said side pieces, thus forming a frame, as shown. The-corner posts or legs A pass up through notches made in the corners of the top 0, and extended a short distance above the same. On the top 0 is placed a trough or hopper shaped box, D, which is fastened to the upper ends of the posts or legs A, which are beveled for that purpose, so that the inclined front and back of the box will fit against them. The box D is provided with a hinged lid, G, which may be thrown open backward, and supported in a horizontal position by a fifth leg, E, having a horizontal arm, H, at its upper end, the inner end of said arm being hinged back of the box, as shown.
In the frame formed by the legs, side pieces, and top is a drawer, J, sliding upon cleats a a attached to the side pieces. This drawer is intended to contain Hour. The dough is to be mixed in the box D and then worked upon the opened lid Gr.
If desired, the legs A may be provided with casters, so that the tray can be easily moved about, as required.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
As a new article of manufacture, a pastryboard, consisting of frame A B (J, box I), having hinged lid G, horizontal hinged arm H, supported by leg E, and drawerJ, as and for the purposes set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 1st day of December, 1875.
MARTIN V. TAGGART.
