Patented Nava l2, 1929 usaran stares masia ,raraura BRUSH AND Mor nonnina vI-Iaivniin f rihis invention relates to an improved type of scrubbing brush and mop holder and has for its primary object to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, a structure whereby a scrub brush and mop may be simultaneously held upon a handle, for use.

The invention broadly contemplates the provision of handle body having at one end a danig-ping device designed to grip the back l0 of the clamping device which coacts with an adjacent part of the structure for gripping and holding a mop cloth. y

Another object of the invention is to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, a scrubbing brush and mop holderl which may be readily adjusted to receive or release a mop cr brush as desired. y

The invention will be best understood from i consideration of the following detailed description talen in connection with the accom# pani-ving drawing forming a part of the pres ent invention with the understanding, however, that the invention is not confined to any strict conformity withthe showing of the drawing butmay be changed or modied'so long as such changes or modifications mark no material departure from the salient features of the invention as expressed in the ap- =pended claims. l

From the foregoing description it will be readily seen that with a device of this character a mop and brush may be clamped at one operation upon the handle, or either alone vmay be used and either may be readily placedv in, or removed from position,` as desired.

A brush and mop holder, comprising a handle, a shaft, means for connecting said Vlshaft in longitudinal adjustment to the handle, jaw members loosely carried upon said shaft, a bar extending transversely `of the shaft and carried thereby remote from the` handle, 'arms each pivotally secured at one end to said bar and extending longitudinally of the inner vedge thereof, and jaw members carried by said arms for engagement with one side of a brush body.
