Figs. 4, 5, 6, and 7 shows modifications of the invention.
The bath tub appliance 1 proper comprises a U-shaped frame 2, preferably of metal rod, over which is stretched a sheet 3 f canvass or other suitable material, which is secured thereto by sewing or in any other desirable manner. The ends at of frame 2 are bent npwardly, thereby forming a pair of suspenders 5 for that end or side of the sheet 3 and frame 2, and the terminals 6 of said suspenders are bent laterally so as to form pro j ections which enter holes 7 provided in the side walls 8 of the infantstub 9, in which manner the sheet 3 and frame 2 are supported and hingedly joined at side 10 to the tub 9. To the opposite side 11 of the frame 2 is secured a pair of straps 12, made of canvass or any other suitable material, each of which is provided with a series of elongated holes 13 adapted to co-operate with a locking device 14; secured to the exterior of the tub 9. which is secured to the tub-wall 8 and an elongated member 16 pivoted to member 15, whereby when the member 16 is in the vertical positionshown in Fig. 3 the entire device may be passed through any one of the openings 13 of straps 12 and the member 16 may be then turned horizontally to the position shown in F 3 to join the strap to the device and lock it in this manner. \Vhen it is desired to utilize the appliance 1 it may be readily mounted in the tub by springing the suspender bar portions 5 toward each other and releasing them to project their terminals 6 into the holes 7, and then oining the straps 12 to the tub-walls 8 by interlocking the holes 13 with the devices 1 1. Slipping the last or outermost holes 13 over the devices 14 will retain the appliance and sheet 3 in the horizontal position shown in Fig. 1, while slipping either of the remaining holes 13 over said devices will tilt the sheet to the extent required.
According to the modification shown in Figs. tic, 6, the terminal 17 of each strap 12 has joined thereto aspring cleat 18 which is adapted to embrace and grip the top rail 19 of the tub-wall 8 to thereby retain the straps 12 and appliance 1 in position. Shifting of the cleat 18 laterally along the rail 19 will tilt the side11 of sheet 3 and. frame 2 to any degree required. Preferably a series of pro]- ections or heads 20 may be secured to the in ner side of rail 19, between either pair of which the cleat may be placed when adjusting the position of the straps 12, and these heads will prevent accidental lateral shifting or displacement of the cleats after such adjustment. ' In the modification shown in Fig. 5 the cleat 21 is made rigid and fits over the rail 19, and a thumb screw 22 threads therethrough and against the rail in the manner shown to therby secure the cleat to any desired position along the rail 19.
According to the modification shown in Fig. 7 the ends l of the frame 2 are shaped to form eyes 23, through which passes a horizontal rod 24 the ends of which are bent upwardly to form a pair of suspenders 5 with laterally bent terminals 6 which may be sprung into the holes 7 of the tub 9. The sus penders 5 therefore operate in the same mannor as the above described suspenders 5, and the advantage of this modification is that when demounting this appliance from the tub it may be completely collapsed, as the eyes 23 and rod 24 act as a hinge to thus bend over the suspenders 5 to fold alongside the frame 2.
It will be evident that the appliance i is very readily demounted by merely springing the projections 6 or 6 out of the holes 7 and releasing the straps 12 from the upper tubrail19.
Variations may be resorted to within the scope of the invention, and portions of the improvements may be used without others.
Having thus described my invention, 1 claim s I. An infants bath tub having a sheet for supporting the body, a frame for supporting said sheetcomprisinga U-s'haped-rod the ends of which project upwardly to constitute suspenders for the frame, the terminals of said ends being pivoted to the bath tub, and means for suspending the opposite side of said frame.

An in'fants bath tub having a sheet for supporting the body, a frame for supporting said sheet comprising a U-shaped rod the ends of which project upwardly to constitute suspenders for the frame, the terminals or" said ends being pivoted to'the bath tub, a pair of straps for suspending the opposite side of said frame being joined to said frame, the bathtub having a device for each of said. straps for locking the latter thereto, and each of said straps having a series of cooperating locking devices for locking the strap at a plurality of points for adjusting the elevation of said side of the frame. 7

An infants bath tub having a sheet for suppor ing the body, a frame for supporting aid sheet comprising a iJ-shaped red the ends or" which project upwardly to constitute suspenders for the frame, the terminals of said ends being pivoted to the bath tub and being removable from the bath tub, a pair of straps for suspending the opposite side of said frame being joined to said irame,the bath tub having a device for each of said for locking the latter thereto, and each of said straps having a series of cooperating looking devices for locking the strap at a plurality of points for adjusting the elevation of said side of the frame a. An infants bath tub having a sheet for supporting the body, a frame for said sheet, rigid suspenders for one side of said frame having their terminals pivoted to the bath tub, and means for suspending the opposite side of said frame;
5. An infants bath tub having a sheet for supporting the body, a frame for said sheet, rigid suspenders for one side oi? saidirame having their erminals pivoted to the bath tub, said suspenders being also pivoted to said frame, and means for suspending the opposite side of said frame.
6. An ini'ants bath tub having a sheet for supporting the body, a frame for said sheet, suspenders for one side of said frame joined to said sheet and to the bath tub, a pair of straps for suspending the opposite side of said frame being joined to said frame, the bath tub having a device for each of said straps "for locking the latter thereto, and each or" said straps having a series of cooperating, locking devices for locking tae strap at a plu rality of points for adjusting the elevation of said side oi the frame.
7. An intants bath tub having a sheet for supporting the body, a frame for said sheet, suspenders for one side of said frame joined to said sheet and to the bath tub, a pair of straps for suspending the opposite side of said frame being joined to .the frame, each of said straps having a spring clip for gripping the bath tub wall at a plurality of places for adjusting the elevation of the latter side of the frame, and the bath tub havin a plurality of projections for p1 eventing lateral shifting of said clip after-adjustment.
