In accordance with the present invention I provide one portion of the diaper with a series of openings, and flexibly connect together quick detachable connector elements in such manner that the set of connector elements thereby provided may be engaged selectively through adjacent holes of said series, and another portion of the diaper, which is disposed adjacent the first mentioned portion in the use, is provided with one or more complementary quick detachable connector elements which may be engaged with either or both of the connector elements of the above 1nen tioned set, thereby enabling an adjustment of The remaining waist portion 5 of the dia per is provided with one or more openings 6 so disposed as to be adjacent the respective series .of openings 2 above mentioned, when the diaper is in wearing position, and thus by positioning thebuttons 3 in different openings of the series 2, and/or by engaging one or both'of said buttons in different openings 6, the waist size of the diaper may be readily adjusted.
Preferably ,the intermediate or leg engaging portions 7 of-the diaper are provided with similar series of holes 8 so disposed as to enable similar connections, such as the buttons 3 above described, to be engaged selectively between the series of openings 8 which are near each other when the diaper is in wearing position, whereby the leg size may be adjusted as above described, one button 3 may be engaged in one of the front openings 8 while the otheg button 3 is engaged in the rear opening While a specific form of theinvention has been described, it will be obvious that the same may be modified without departing from the essentials of the invention as defined in the following claims.
I claim:
1. A diaper adjustable as to waist size having a series of holes disposed along one waist portion thereof, a pair of quick detachable connector elements flexibly connected toget-her so as to be selectively engageable respectively in adjacent holes of said series, another waist portion of the diaper, which is disposed adjacent said first portion in use, being provided with at least one hole adapted to be engaged with one of the first mentioned connector elements.
2. A diaper adjustable as to waist size having a series of holes disposed along one waist portion thereof, buttons connected by a tape so as to be selectively engageable respectively in adjacent holes of said series, and another waist portion which is disposed adjacent said first portion in use, said second mentioned portion having at least one button hole which is engageable with one of said buttons.
3. A diaper adjustable as to waist size, having a series of holes disposed along one waist portion thereof, a pair of quick detachable connector elements flexibly connected together so as to be selectively engageable respectively in adjacent holes of said series, another waist portion of the diaper, which is disposed adjacent said first portion inuse, being provided with at least one hole adapted to be engaged with one of the first mentioned connector elements, said diaper also having a series of holes ineach leg engaging portion disposed respectively adjacent each other when in wearing position, and additional connector elements adapted to engage between holes of said last mentioned adjacent series.
