UNITED STATES ANNA CHRISTOPHERSEN, 0F BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
WRISTLET.
Application filed May 21,
This invention relates to improvements in bracelets, or wristlets, and has for its object to provide a combination of a wrist-strap and picture-casing, thereby producing a sheer novelty and attractive ornament.
This device should be very durable, and may on account of its simplicity of construction be manufactured at a very small cost.
Vith the above and other objects in view, this invention consists of the novel features of construction, combination and arrangements of parts, hereinafter fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawings forming parts of this specification, and in which similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all views and in which Figure 1 illustrates the strap-member with the back-cover of my invention, while Fig. 2 shows the picture frame-device adapted to be attached to the former, and Fig. 3 represents a cross sectional view of said picture frame.
Referring more particularly to the draw.- ings 10 indicates a leather strap formed with a suitable back cover 18 to which is attached a metal frame 19. The said strap with its enlargement 18 is cut in one piece from a blank; it may, if desired, be lined with a different material, preferably leather of a soft quality. A lock or buckle 11 is vattached to one end of the said strap.
The front cover in this illustration comprises a metal frame 19 of any'suitable shape, congruent, however, with the back cover 18 and having an opening 20. Said front-cover has bent flanges 21 on three sides adaptedto receive and hold a picture and transparent picture-cover. At the back portions of the 1927. Serial No. 193,092.
twuo side-flanges are provided depressions 22 suitable to be snapped onto counterparts or small metal projections 23 fastened to the front of .the back-cover 18, said fastening means being constructed in conformity with similar means as, for instance, those used in dresses.
It is obvious that changes may be made in the form, construction and arrangement of the several parts, as shown, within the scope of the appended claim, without departing from the spirit of the invention and I do not 5e therefore limit myself to the construction and arrangement shown and described herein.
What I claim as new, and desire to secureV by Letters Patent of the United States, is: An article of the class described, comprising a wrist-strap having the usual buckle, and a centrally disposed enlarged rectangular portion forming a. back cover, a front metal frame-member of a substantially rectangular shape being dispos-ed with a suitable central @o opening and having on three sides arranged flanges formed by bending the respective edges of the said frameand adapted to' receive a picture, a transparent member engaging the said flan and cooperating with the c5 said front member, the latter being congruent with the'said enlarged rear section serving as a support'for the inserted picture, and means arranged upon two of the said flanges to form an engagement with corresponding counterparts in a detachable manner, as rand for the purpose set forth.
Signed at New York city in the county ofl New York and State of New York, this 7th day of May, A. D. 1927. ANNA CHRISTOPHERSEN.
