The invention relates to containers, and more particularly to a fibre onpaper container.` f
As usually constructed, containers of this character haveheads which are secured to the plain walls ofthe container by gluing or by special fasteners or metal bands. y The object of this invention is to depart materially from the usual practice and produce a closedend container of simple but very strong construction in which the closed end of the containerbecomes a part of the siding by using more or less of the siding as a part of the end closure and in such a way that the heads form- ]5 ing the closure are efficiently-secured in position and form with the siding a unitary structure.

I have used the. term band in this specification to include broadly a ring or strip, the ring'form being used on a cylindrical container' while the strip form may be used on containers having polygonal-shaped tubing orsiding.
