AIRWIN COHN, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
BLOW TOY.
` Application ledseptember 10, 1927. Serial No. ls.
The object of the present invention is to provide a blow toy so constructed that a light object is carried by the blast ot air in an annular pathway, so that vthe object Vis caused to loop-the-loop.
The device is light and simple in construc-y tion and will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which- Figure l is a` view of the side elevation ot an embodiment of theinvention, the device being partly broken away to better illustrate its construction;
Figure 2 is a view in `tied form of the device;
Figure 3 is a sectional elevation on the line 3 3, Figure 2. n
Referring to Figure l of the drawings, the device illustrated therein comprises an air velevation 01"' a modi- Anular casing A, having side flanges 1 and transverse ywebs 2l which are connected at the center by member 2".
4Secured to annular casing` A is a tube 3, having` a mouthpiece 4. This mouthpiece may be formed as a whistle or other sound producing member if desired. The annular member Afwithits opposed side flangesvl 'forms a racewayfor a light object such as the ball 5. The object may be a ball, or
may represent a boat, anautomobile or other driven member. When the device is held in its normal position, to wit, that illustrated in Figure 1, and air is blown through the tube 3, air pressure will be thrown against the ball 5 and it will be forcibly moved about the raceway or caused to loop-the-loop.v
In Figure 2. I have illustrated a modification oi the invention and one of'somewhat modified form. The easing B is formed with the opposed webs eliminated.
The tube 7 flanges 6. but the employed in the preceding form are connects with the base ot the casing and the object shown is not a ball but an aeroplane. f It will be noted that the opposed flanges are turned slightly inward and that the lower wings oit the aeroplane are extended within the projection so that in this manner the device is held against displacement 'trom the roadway. Any other suitable means may beeinployed for preventing dislodgment oi blc-wn through the plane and cause it the object.
runway` and the propellerr 8 will be caused to rotate in a realistic-man ner. As' indicated above, the aeroplane is only one of many objects which can be used as the movable member of the device.
Having described my claim and desire to secure is as follows:
invention, i what l IL Aby Letters lPatent A toy comprising an annular casing` having side flanges, an axial to cach oi thev side iianges by transverse webs,` and an air inlet i'ormed in the casing, ablow tube exterior of said casing and secured thereto, the tube communicating with said inlet and arranged substantially tangential with respect to the inner wall of the casing, and alight object held by the walls of the casing` and adapted to receive a Ablast oi air from said blow tube and thereby be ter is held with its axis caused to traverse the casing hen the lathorizontal.
l/Vhen air .is V tube Tit will strike the to traverse the annular.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name tothis specification IRWIN COHN.
